I ordered a door/lid switch kit and an actuator and replaced them both. I probably didn't need the actuator, but it probably didn't hurt to replace it. The only issue I had was that the switch didn't seem to fit that well when installed on it's own, along with the actuator. My son took the old fill hose and vacuum break off the washer and came to the computer to appliancepartspros.com to order the parts, I went to the laundromat. Three days later the correct parts were here. The next day, because the parts were so easy to find on the web site pictures, my son put them on and by evening, I had washed again. Now the floor is dry again and I have Appliancepartspros to thank for that!

Very simple. Removed 2 screws and lifted the control section. The from panel the was pulled out slightly. The water inlet valve was exposed and removed after disconnecting the hoses and 2 screws. I actually followed the direction on the Kenmore repair clinic on youtube!!!!!
