This Heater Housing is the metal enclosure that supports the heating element and thermostats and channels airflow through the heater. Replacing a warped, burned-through, or corroded housing helps restore safe, consistent dryer heat and airflow.
- Holds the heating element securely and isolates it from the cabinet
- Directs air across the element for efficient, even heating
- Provides mounting points for high-limit/cycling thermostats and thermal cut-off
- Helps with symptoms such as weak/no heat, scorching in the heater area, repeated element shorts, or visible damage/rust to the housing
What's included: 1 metal heater housing/box. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and pull the dryer forward for access
- Remove the rear panel and exhaust duct to reach the heater assembly
- Note wiring; transfer the heating element and thermostats from the old housing to the new one using existing hardware
- Ensure the element is centered and not touching the housing before reassembly; reconnect and test for proper heat and airflow

This heating element generates the heat your electric dryer needs to dry laundry. Replacing a failed element restores consistent temperatures and helps resolve no-heat or long dry-time issues.
- Converts electrical energy into heat inside the dryer's heater assembly
- Typical symptoms of failure: runs but no heat, takes too long to dry, or clothes remain damp
- Visual clues can include a broken/burned coil or an open-circuit continuity test
- Restores proper drying performance when the original element has burned out
What's included: 1 heating element Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing; heating components operate at high voltage
- Access the heater assembly; note wiring and component positions for reassembly
- Handle the element carefully to avoid stretching or deforming the coil
- After replacement, clean the exhaust duct and check related thermostats/thermal cutoffs for continuity if heat issues persist

This part is a moisture sensor control board that is used on dryer units. This component monitors the moisture levels within the dryer and adjusts the dry time during the automatic drying cycle. A new moisture sensor control board will be needed if the time is not advancing in the automatic drying cycle, even if it does advance in the timed dry cycle. Another sign is if the dryer continues to run after the clothing inside is dry. Unplug the dryer from its power source prior to replacing this component. The person performing this task may wish to wear work gloves to protect their hands. The moisture sensor control board is compatible with dryers that are manufactured by Kenmore, KitchenAid, Kenmore Elite, Whirlpool, Amana, Crosley, Maytag, Inglis, Sears Canada, Roper, and Sears. This part is sold individually and it is a genuine OEM replacement part that comes straight from the manufacturer.

Kenmore elite dryer routinely stopped after a few minutes when set on the moisture cycle but finished completely when set on timed cycle James L. • Brandywine , MD • December 06, 2014
Did some research via the internet and figured the problem was likely the moisture control board. Watched a video of the repair of a similar unit in order to locate the moisture control board. Used the chat feature with one of the Appliance Parts Pros to get a schematic of the dryer and advice about where to use the putty knife to release the springs for access to the board. Thanks to the lady I chatted with for expert advice. Once the actual task was started, the repair took 15 or 20...

This is the washer's water level pressure switch. It senses the tub's water level and tells the control when to start/stop filling and when to advance the cycle. Replacing a failing switch restores accurate fill levels and reliable cycle progression. What it does:
- Monitors tub water level via air pressure through the attached hose
- Opens/closes the inlet valve circuit to stop or start water fill
- Signals the timer/control to advance to wash, rinse, and spin at the correct level
- Common failure symptoms: overfilling or won't stop filling, won't fill, cycle won't advance, or won't agitate/spin
What's included:
- 1 water level pressure switch
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing
- Lift/remove the control console to access the switch
- Label and transfer wires; move the pressure (air dome) hose to the new switch and ensure a snug, unkinked connection
- Inspect the hose for cracks, kinks, blockages, or water inside; reassemble and run a test fill to operation

This brake release cam works with the washer's brake assembly to disengage the brake during spin and re-engage it at stop. Replacing a worn cam restores smooth basket spin and reduces squeal or grinding at spin transitions.
- Disengages the brake so the basket can spin; helps reapply the brake as the cycle ends
- Supports smooth starts and stops of the spin cycle
- Worn or damaged cams can cause no spin or intermittent spin
- Common symptoms include loud squeal/grinding at start/stop or a burning odor near the brake area
What's included: 1 brake release cam Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and water supply, if moving the washer) before service
- Access the brake/basket drive area; the brake spring is under tension—use caution and eye protection
- Note orientation of parts before removal; seat the new cam correctly
- After reassembly, run an empty spin test to verify operation

No spin every thing else worked made high speed ticking noise Anthony D. • Follansbee , WV • May 12, 2015
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in...

A broken lid switch on my whirlpool stackable twin washer Joseph P. • Indialantic , FL • October 25, 2016
Fixing the problem was quite simple. First, I removed the lid assembly (thanks to the diagrams supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com!). Getting the back two screws out was very difficult because I couldn't see them from the front and I could not move the unit out of the enclosed space. After some trial and error, I located the screws which were 5/16 hex head screws and removed them with a MAGNETIC nut driver. (The magnet assures that the screw will not drop down into the mechanism). Second, I...

Whirlpool dryer wouldn't start tumbling unless it had a very light load. Roger B. • Montgomery , NJ • January 21, 2019
Ordered a kit with new belt, rollers and idler pulley. Used instructions in kit, YouTube videos and instructions I found under the console of the dryer. Found that the idler pulley had frozen and that the belt was nearly worn through. Repair it self was not difficult. The problem I had was in hooking the new belt around the idler pulley. It was solved by removing the one screw holding the air discharge tube and sliding the tube rearwards. This allowed me to get my arm in behind the idler pulley...
