I ordered a refrigerator door hinge, hinge pin, and washer. The descriptions and pictures imply that these items are sold separately. However, the hinge I received was an assembly that included a pin and washer. I replaced the original hinge assembly with the new assembly, but the door still sagged (not as badly as before). I needed to change the racks and the doorstop. The racks were super simple. I had a friend and a repair guy tell me it was the start relay that needed to be replaced, which was an easy fix. My friend said just to unplug the start relay, replace it with the new one, and it should be good. I've never tried to repair a fridge, and that was the easiest repair ever. This was a 2000 model so rather than just replace the defrost timer which was visibly burnt on the terminals, we just did everything. The cold control, defrost timer, thermostat, defrost heater and the compressor capacitor were all replaced. I had the same issue on my older unit and tore it apart replacing one item at a time over a three month period so on an older one i suggest do it all while it is apart. Read more
