Lights flashing and dim reset didn't help Carl M. • Tallahassee , FL • March 11, 2016
I followed the instructions to verify whether the problem was the control panel or the control board. Basically, if you disconnect the control panel from the control board, reconnect the AC, and close the washer door and the pump comes on and runs for 2 minutes before turning off then the problem is with the control panel. If nothing happens then the problem is with the control board. For me the problem was the control panel (pump ran for 2 minutes and then shut off) which is a good result...

Rusted tines on upper and lower racks Michelle L. • Sussex , WI • October 19, 2018
Kitchen Aid dishwasher is 11 years old, and the tines have been rusting and biting the dust one by over the last few years. Rather than further destroy my dishes by abrading them with rust particles, I decided to get new racks. They are terribly expensive, and I pondered getting a new dishwasher. It wouldn't be that much more expensive. But I love mine and how well it washes. It has a stainless interior, and all of the seals are in excellent shape. I didn't need any tools. (Although I'm a...

What's included: One 23.5 µF run capacitor Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing; discharge the old capacitor safely
- Note wire locations and transfer leads to the new capacitor one-by-one
- Mount securely in the original bracket or location to prevent vibration
- If the motor still won't start, further diagnosis of the motor or start device may be required

Dishwasher would start begin to fill with water then there would be 4 5 short "hums" or "buzzes" it would then shut off and drain what water had filled John S. • Granite Falls , MN • September 19, 2017
Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area.

Our unit was dead would not run or light up any control Ed H. • Hillsboro , OH • March 08, 2015
We had a repair man come and inspect the unit (Independent). He said he would get the part and get back with us. Almost 8 weeks past, with many calls to the service for an update.
So I ordered the part he said was bad, the control board. He did not check the fuse. I ordered the fuse, the new board worked. I removed the new and replaced the old control board. Everything is fine. Thus, I am returning the board.
The suggestion to replace the fuse came from your on line tech. He saved me...

My 1984 dishwasher that still works great was an eyesore & I didn't match my other appliances. Dorothy L. • Raleigh , NC • March 24, 2014
I purchased a can of black appliance spray paint, removed the panels on the dishwasher, sprayed them, and a few hours later put them back. They're beautiful and it looks like I have a brand new dishwasher! It now matches everything and looks great with the new granite counter tops I just installed. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT IDEA!!! I'm a 76 year old female and my friends think I'm a genius!

Stopped working mid cycle "normal" light blinking Esther M. • Austin , TX • August 23, 2019
I always try to fix things myself (I'm a 50 yr old female) so when my dishwasher kept stopping mid-cycle with the normal light blinking I started looking online to determine what the problem was. I was able to narrow it down to 3 possible malfunctioning parts: the control panel, thermal fuse or electronic control board. I found that most of the good repair answers were coming from this website so I contacted AppliancePartsPros to see if they could help me diagnose the problem. They were super...

Leaking Larry J. • Edison , NJ • March 07, 2021
I bought the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Removed water inlet hose. Removed water outlet hose. Removed water inlet valve which was held on with one screw. Replaced the water inlet value. Reattached both hoses. It leaked a little bit, so I had to put plumbing tape and really make it tight. Then the leaked stopped.
