I had to drill out the screws that hold down the burner plates which also mount to the orifice holders because all of the screws had rusted tight and could not be loosened. The drilling out part was fairly easy and once I had removed the burner plates, I could easily lift the stove top off and get access to the orifice holders to replace all of them. Could not find info anywhere to fix it Pulled out the stove seen a side panel of sorts undid the trim remove side panel switch was right there 15 min tops and everything was working again. The rapid preheat door lock everything. I have a duel fuel so no way do you remove the control panel as some were saying Nope look on the side Really easy fix Philips screw driver and 1/4 nut socket and that's it! Read more

I had to remove the oven door, which I learned is made to come off without tools. Then took out the bottom by removing two screws and lifting. Removed the screws attaching the igniter, pulled wires thru back until I could get the connector and disconnect. When the new igniter arrived, I had to change the connector. I cut the one off the old one, and spliced to the new one using solder and shrink tubing. Just reverse the procedure to install. I replaced the screws with new ones. Read more

The top had to be removed but with the unit being 14 years old, galvanic corrosion had seized the screws holding the Burner Heads to the Orifices. I carefully drilled out the heads of the screws until the Burner heads could be pulled free. I removed the two screws that held the Burner control assembly with all the gas valves in place. I purchased a can of black appliance spray paint, removed the panels on the dishwasher, sprayed them, and a few hours later put them back. Took the oven doors off the hinges and then removed the old rusted trim, cleaned up the doors and put new trim in. Completed in 20 minutes Read more

Got information from a repairman to use a multi-meter to see if the ignitors were drawing 3+ amps through the gas safety valve. They weren't. Took the bottom plate of each oven out and removed the gas burner with the ignitor attached. Unscrewed the ignitors, replaced with new one. The replacements were an exact match, no splicing or wire nuts, just unplug the old ones, plug in the new one and reassemble everything. Took about 10 minutes per oven. Working like a charm & no more take out! Read more
