I had previously disassemble the pump assembly to find what I at first thought was an oddly shaped spring, which it was. What I learned by researching the parts was that the spring's odd shape was a result of something having gotten caught in the pump and jamming the impeller. After ordering the parts, I watched the "repair video" a few time and proceeded to remove and replaced the affected parts. My dishwasher quit cleaning dishes and lost all pressure. The food screen would keep clogging up and I would have to take it out and clean it by hand. After putting a new impeller in, the "gears" on the impeller connected with the screen blades, the old impeller the "gears" were stripped off. And the new impeller comes with new seals, after taking old one out I noticed it wasn't long before my old seals would have started leaking. Very simple repair if you watch the great video that... Replaced entire pump & motor assembly. Before doing the repair, I also noticed that the fill hose was crimped. This dishwasher has never filled with quite enough water, so that's why! Replaced the water inlet valve just to be sure. Dishwasher is running better than ever! Read more

Removed and replaced diverter motor. Ops check good, no more leaking. I'm guessing the seal was the problem but diverter ruined (water residue) from leaking over the last 5 years??? This seal is only available if you buy the tub so followed another review - removed diverter then gently pried out the seal, cleaned and then lubed with silicone grease. Also turned the seal 180 degrees or the opposite way before reinstalling the diverter and then wrapping it all back under the counter. Read more

Removed the entire front panel to get at pump was not bad took about 10 mim to remove 10 minutes to change pump and 10 minutes to put the hole thing back together The hardest thing was that the retaining ring on the rubber door seal Read more

DIY, changed motor and sump. Put a dab of valve lubricant on seal. Wet outer seal of sump to get it to seat in bottom of tub. Cleaned electrical connectors corroded by leak. Coated connectors with dielectric grease. Had to buy additional clamp. Two clamps came in the sump package but both fit the smaller hose only. Neither fit the large hose. I wish the correct clamps were included. Home improvement store clamp is a little too wide to fit between ridges in large hose. Read more

• Not drying dishes properly

The solenoid that opened the air vent for drying was broken so it was open during the wash cycle allowing water to escape into the air duct. Found the part at SearsParts and AppliancePartsPro, and Sears was $15 more expensive. I ordered on Friday from AppliancePartsPro and selected standard shipping and the part arrive the next day (Saturday). Amazing service. AppliancePartsPro will be my first stop in the future. I reviewed the schematic and saw the Volute Seal, and Impeller Seal were the two that were closest my source of water. After watching the video about changing the Impeller/seal I removed the motor, impeller, and volute; I found that the impeller seal was the faulty one in my case. Since I'd ordered the volute and impeller seal kits (as I wasn't sure which it was) I installed both while I had it apart. Runs great, no water - simple to do. The seal changes took about 20 minutes. I discovered a major leak at the bottom of the dishwasher near the diverter motor. The leak was so significant that water dripped onto my basement floor. The dishwasher is 7 years old. I read a number of articles suggesting that the problem would be the gasket on the diverter motor. I ordered one and that wasn’t the problem.
