Genuine Samsung part
By: Samsung
Part Number: DC31-00187A

Washer won't drain or draining slowly? A failed drain pump prevents water removal during cycles. Moderate DIY repair with video guide available.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The washing machine wouldn't drain   David H. • Ellicott City , MD • September 03, 2016

I opened the washer and replaced the pump. To open the washer: 1. Remove the 2 screws that are different from the others in the top back corners of the machine. That will let you remove the top. 2. Remove the soap tray and its holder. The tray comes out if you depress the tab in the back center. Its holder comes out if you remove the two screws in the front. You can leave all the hoses attached. 3. Remove the control panel. It snaps in. Undo the top snaps first. You'll have to reach... Read more

Blower Motor Assembly
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: ABT35083801

The Blower Motor Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG dishwashers. Located inside the wash cavity, it functions to distribute heated air throughout during the dry cycle. Rapid rotation of the blower motor blades works to eject moisture from dishes and ensure thorough drying.

Causes of a bad blower motor include failure of the motor itself, cracks in the blades that disrupt airflow, or bearing issues preventing proper rotation.

Symptoms include:

  • Dishes still feeling damp after a cycle
  • Puddles of water remaining in the bottom of the dishwasher
  • Water droplets on upper racks/dishes
  • The motor producing grinding/squealing noises on startup

It is also compatible with some Kenmore dishwashers using LG components.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Not drying dishes properly

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Water leak   Art D. • Souderton , PA • May 27, 2014

The solenoid that opened the air vent for drying was broken so it was open during the wash cycle allowing water to escape into the air duct. Found the part at SearsParts and AppliancePartsPro, and Sears was $15 more expensive. I ordered on Friday from AppliancePartsPro and selected standard shipping and the part arrive the next day (Saturday). Amazing service. AppliancePartsPro will be my first stop in the future. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You "nd" code, Wasn't draining Grinding noise.   Will J. • Kodiak , AK • February 10, 2024

The machine was displaying an "nd" code, wasn't draining, and would make a grinding noise when the pump ran. After about 30 seconds of the grinding noise, the pump would stop, and the washer would pause the load. Diagnosis was fairly easy: I drained the water out manually at the filter housing. (If you have a drain in the floor of the laundry room, and the washer is up-slope from the drain, just drain it onto the floor and into the drain.) Next, leaving the drain filter out, I started the... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Very little water pressure coming from spray arms only sprayed about 6"   Kevin H. • San Antonio , TX • August 18, 2019

Our Bosch suddenly quit washing the dishes properly after 15 years of faithful service. I observed that there was no pressure coming from the sprayers, and determined it to be the circulating pump. I could reach into the pump from inside the dishwasher and could feel that something was loose in there - the impeller moved when pumping, but I could stop it with my finger. When I took the pump out and disassembled it, the impeller was in two pieces (the front and back pieces that are supposed... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The water pump in my compact whirlpool washer was making an incredible racket and wouldn't drain   Charles H. • Jacksonville , FL • June 26, 2015

Very simple repair really. Unplugged the washer, moved the washer in order to have access to the back panel. Remove 13 #20 torx screws holding the back panel on ; then removed back panel. Open the filter access on the front bottom of the washer to drain any remaining water, be sure to have a towel ready, as if the pump is bad, there's bound to be quite a bit. Looking at the washer from the back, the bottom left contained the pump. Remkve the two electric connectors and move out of the way.... Read more

Pump-Drain
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W11677711

The Pump-Drain is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwasher modules. It serves as the water pump that actively removes dirty water from the wash chamber, directing it to the garbage disposal or home drainage system.

Causes for a faulty Pump-Drain can stem from mineral buildup clogging impeller fins over time. Wear and tear on seals or electrical failure of motor components are also possible from prolonged usage.

Symptoms of a bad Pump-Drain include:

  • Incomplete draining or water remaining after cycles
  • Strange gurgling or grinding noises during drain phase
  • Leaks detected around the drain hose connection
  • Soap scum or film left inside from inadequate rinsing

This OEM replacement part works with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and select Kenmore dishwasher models as well.
