The Blower Motor Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG dishwashers. Located inside the wash cavity, it functions to distribute heated air throughout during the dry cycle. Rapid rotation of the blower motor blades works to eject moisture from dishes and ensure thorough drying.

The solenoid that opened the air vent for drying was broken so it was open during the wash cycle allowing water to escape into the air duct. Found the part at SearsParts and AppliancePartsPro, and Sears was $15 more expensive. I discovered a major leak at the bottom of the dishwasher near the diverter motor. The leak was so significant that water dripped onto my basement floor. The dishwasher is 7 years old. This electric pump is responsible for draining water out of the washer tub during the drain and spin cycles. It pumps used wash and rinse water through the drain hose and out of the machine. Replace this pump if your washer fails to drain, drains slowly, makes loud humming or grinding noises during the drain cycle, or if you find water remaining in the tub after a completed cycle.
Very simple repair really. Unplugged the washer, moved the washer in order to have access to the back panel. Remove 13 #20 torx screws holding the back panel on ; then removed back panel. Open the filter access on the front bottom of the washer to drain any remaining water, be sure to have a towel ready, as if the pump is bad, there's bound to be quite a bit. I replaced the dishwasher circulation motor. I also replaced the impeller assembly, although it turns out that was not necessary. The PC board was bigger than the original so had to modify the mounts, the pump and rotor are pretty straight forward but would have much easier with another pair of hands.
