The Center Spray Arm and Tube Assembly is an OEM replacement part for Bosch dishwashers. This assembly features a rotating central spray arm attached to a feed tube. During wash cycles, water and cleaning solution pump through the tube to eject forcefully from spray holes positioned across the fixed and rotating arms.

Causes of failure include mineral deposits clogging spray holes over time or tubes developing cracks from prolonged high-pressure usage. Bearings within arms may also experience normal wear.

Symptoms of a problematic assembly are:

  • Reduced or uneven spray coverage inside the tub
  • Dirty dishes clustered in certain areas post-wash
  • Loud noises or grinding from spray arm movement
  • Spray jets that do not rotate or eject water as designed

This is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and some Kenmore models.

Joesh, You will want to check the impeller to make sure that it is not separated from the shaft or cracked. Also make sure that there is no debris in the impeller and make sure that the spray arms are not cracked and that the gasket for the center spray arm is in place on the tower. Also make sure that you are getting proper water fill.

Hello Tom, First you need to make sure neither filter is clogged. The filters can be easily removed for cleaning in the sink. While you have them out you should remove the single screw in the bottom of the screen area to expose the pump impeller. This area needs to be clear so the impellers' operation will not be impeded. Check that there is no debris in the spray arms. If the unit is filling properly you should have at least an inch of water in the bottom of the tub in the deepest area. A good check of the water circulation is to put a glass in each corner of the top rack in the upright position and let the unit circulate water for 2 minutes. There should be a couple of inches of water in the glasses after this.

Hello Aase, This is either a water fill issue or a circulation issue. There could be insufficient water filling the unit or debris in and around the impeller of the circulation motor. The most common issue with these units is the water inlet valve so I would investigate the water fill level first and then follow through to the water circulation.

Hello Tom. You need to use the screwdriver like the instructions say. This is the only way to remove the coupling.

Hello ERC. The coupling unsnaps from the unit. If you can use the old coupling, and it is not damaged, it should be fine. If the spray arm 00298594 is not working properly with the old coupling, you will need to install the new one.

Hello Mason! If the spray arm only is defective replace it, part number 00298594. However, if the feed tube part number 00350321 where the pins are located have broken, you will need to replace the feed tube. Thanks.

Hi Mason. The model number you've provided is incomplete. I used model number SHU4002 UC/06, for this model the upper spray arm comes assembled 00298594. If this is the correct model number then you might have to replace the assembly. If the spray head came off 00167301, this one should just turn to lock in place and turn to unlock. Thanks!

Hello Lisa. There shouldn't be water building up from a new spray arm. Check and make sure the upper feed tube is snaped in place good at the pump-motor assembly. Hope this helps.

Hello BC, The spray wand attaches to the arm assembly with a center locking nut. You will insert the nut through the wand and twist to lock. If your spray wand will not lock in place, then you will need to replace this part. Hope this helps.
