Jennifer January 23, 2012 for Model Number SHU5312CU/UC12 My dishwasher hasn't been washing as well as usual, so I have cleaned the filters and spray arms. THere was some debris. In the top spray arm, there is a hole at each end. In one end there is a securely fitting white thing (kind of looks like a TicTac) The other end has one too, but it moves around that side of the spray arm. Are those TicTacs supposed to be there? Is there a way to get the loose one in the correct position?
1 Answer Hi Jennifer. At the top of the dishwasher there is a spray head part # 00167301. The side openings (and all) need to be clear. It is to our amazement just how any small debris can get pushed into a hole and plug it. Use a pick tool or a sturdy pin to dislodge it or to clean it. Then you flush it out under ther sink. Tom September 15, 2011 for Model Number shu5316uc/u11 The upper spray arm becomes detached from the bottom of the upper dishrack after every washing. I can reattach it by sliding the front "nose" of the arm onto the wire bracket and can also snap the back part of the arm to the back of the dishrack just as it is supposed to be. The dishes are being cleaned but the arm falls EVERY TIME I open the door and slide the top rack forward to unload. Do the mounting brackets on the arm stretch or deform over time? They sure appear to be a tight fit when I reattach them.
