Nick July 28, 2020 for Model Number 241682303 Hi, I have a frigidaire PLHS269ZCB4 and sometimes ice will be in the chute between the dispenser and the flap. If it sits their overnight it will usually melt and drip out. Sometimes it's worse if a small corner of a piece of ice is keeping the flap partially open. Are there any pieces or repairs that can remedy this? Thanks, Nick
1 Answer Nick, thanks for the question. Ice is getting stuck in the chute and that is the whole problem. The best bet would be to replace the chute door damper 241689301. Most likely the door is closing too fast and trapping ice in the chute. A new damper should help slow that door down and stop trapping ice. Read More...
Donald June 10, 2020 for Model Number E23CS75DSS1 Hello, I recently replaced my water dispenser arm, with your part no. 241685703, on my Electrolux E23CS75DSS1 refrigerator. However, when I plugged it back in, the ice dispenser activated and now will not deactivate. The ice dispenser actuator is not depressed, but the refrigerator will not stop trying to dispense ice. Any idea on what the cause is here and what to do? Thanks, Don
1 Answer Donald, it would be recommended that the ice dispenser switch 241689106 is inspected to identify if there is an item pressing into the switch. If there is, it can cause the control to interpret that ice is being called for. The switch can also be tested for continuity (with the refrigerator unplugged) to identify if the contacts are stuck closed. The switch should not have continuity until the plunger is pressed in. 1 Answer Vincent, it would be recommended that the dispenser housing module 241680507 and the dispenser actuator 241682303 are inspected for any broken brackets. If there are no broken brackets, it is likely that the return spring 241688901 has weakened and is not returning the door chute and actuator to the original position. Read More...

1 Answer Jennifer, Not really, It's a doable repair, just unplug the power cord or turn the power off to the fridge first, and take your time. You'll do fine. Here's some help " Two gain access to the control area you will need to pull the drip tray out first.With the drip tray removed, remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel.Lift up on the front panel, there are tabs on the top of the panel that slide into holes in the door panel. Swing panel out to side, being careful not to pull the wires out of the disconnect plug or the board itself. Carefully unplug the wiring harness from the touch panel on the front cover. This will give you access to the control board.On models with no selector on the front panel, when you remove the front you can gain access directly to dispenser because you do not have a touch pad or board on dispenser.On models with electronic control to gain access to the control, snap the light socket loose and remove the 6 small screws from the board. Pull board straight out of housing. Disconnect plug on left side of board. Disconnect 4 wires to dispenser actuator switches. With the board removed, remove the 3 screws from the dispenser housing and pull the dispenser forward. Remove water line from dispenser housing by pulling straight out. With the water line removed, the upper part of the dispenser is free of the freezer door panel. The main housing is part of the door panel, and is not removable.The ice door and actuator switches, as well as the return springs, can be serviced with the control module removed. The door closer is mounted on the side of the housing and connected to the door arm with a gear wheel to slow the closing of the door. This allows enough time for the ice to clear the chute. The door will take approximately 20 seconds to close after the glass is removed from the actuator.The closer can be replaced by removing 3 screws and lifting closer from housing. The door is held in place with a shaft at the top. The spring that holds the door closed and sealed against the housing is over the shaft and can be replaced by using a small punch and removing the shaft.Tension is held against both the water and ice actuator by a stainless steel, two bladed spring mounted behind the actuator switches. The spring is held in place with 2 screws. The Actuators are held in place by stainless clamps at each end of the actuator and the two bladed spring in the middle. The actuators can be removed by removing the 4 screws and lifting the paddle / ice chute out of the housing. On models that only dispense water and ice cubes the dispenser will come apart the same way as models with a control board. The difference is there is no light in the housing and the wiring to the actuator switches is connected directly the plug in the door wiring harness."
