Curt June 01, 2011 for Model Number FWS1339AC1 A "fin" on the agitator has broken off. When using the washer, clothes are being shredded. The agitator replacement part # is AP2107246 which I will be ordering if I can figure out how to remove the broken one. Can you help?
1 Answer Hello Curt. If you remove the cap on the agitator, there is a bolt under it. You will need to remove the bolt. Then the agitator will lift out of the washer. Hope this helps. Read More...

Katrina April 26, 2011 for Model Number GLWS1339cs1 If the agitator is messed up can it cause the washer to leak
1 Answer Hello Katrina, the agitator should have no bearing on the washing machine leaking. We would suggest you pop the top and hinge it back, and then remove the front panel. With the front removed you should be able to see where the leak is coming from. Read More...
Katrina April 26, 2011 for Model Number GLWS1339cs1 My washer agitates but it all of a sudden stops for a little and it tries to agitate the it will start up like normal and it keeps repeating this when its supposed to agitate. Should I replace the whole agitator?
1 Answer Hello Katrina! If the motor is running the whole time, you will need to see if the agitator is stripped. Take the agitator off and underneath there will be teeth that catch to agitate. If they are stripped you will need a new agitator, part number 131605901. If it is not stripped, you could be looking at different issue, such as the transmission. Hope this information helps! Cactus April 06, 2011 for Model Number fws445rfs2 The washer is agitating very slowly and the agitator turns both ways, so I assume the "dogs" need to be replaced. However, when I remove the fabric softener dispenser from the top of the agitator, there is a cover under it with a tab in the middle that must come off before the agitator can be removed. How is this cover removed - does it pull off or turn off? Once removed, are replacement dogs available or must the whole agitator be replaced?
1 Answer Hello Cactus! The agitator cap can be pulled off. It may take a little bit of force. There are no dogs available. The entire agitator assembly will need to be replaced. Your part number is 131605901. Thanks! Read More...
