Hi, I have a Frigidaire AquaSurge with SpeedClean dishwasher. Last night I put a normal load of dishes in the appliance and turned it on, at some point I hear water running out the bottom of the door onto my kitchen floor. I stopped the appliance hit Cancel and the remaining water in the machine drained out. I took the door off and air dried the inside of the door and bottom floor panel. I also removed the bottom sprayer attachment and cleaned out the drain and drain filter. There was minimal debris in there and noticed a tiny bit of water at the very bottom under the screen. I thought it might have been my home plumbing so I cleared that out with drain cleaner and ensured it was draining properly. I began the load again and somewhere between the wash and rinse cycles water began pouring from the bottom of the door again. So I pressed Cancel again and cleaned up once more. I do not think this is a home plumbing issue nor do I think it is an issue with the pump because I can hear water leaving the appliance and making it into the drain. I'm wondering if this could possibly be a "float" issue or a computer board issue? Please help I am at a loss. Thank you in advance!

ex82d, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a float that may be sticking when filling with water.

My dishwasher touchpad is non-responsive. This happened a few times in the past when water from the counter had leaked onto the top of the dishwasher without me knowing it. Typically by the next morning, the touchpad would work again. This started last night without any water being on top of the touchpad. I have turned the breaker on and off and when I do the PF flashes and several lights on the touchpad illuminate, but I still cannot get a response from touching any of the buttons. Is this more likely to be an issue with the console assembly or the board control? Thanks! Sarah

1 Answer

Sarah, The keypad being non responsive and having gotten water in it before would indicate that the keypad is bad and you will want to replace the control panel part number 154791806

Dishwasher stopped working mid cycle and flashed an ER code. I called a repair man who check the unit and recommended replacing the control board. Now with the new control board in place when power is returned to the unit at the circuit breaker the display flashes PF but there is no response when pushing buttons on the control panel. Connection between the control board and the control panel bad or disrupted when the control board was changed? Suggestions?

1 Answer

Lana, Normally the ER error code is caused by a faulty control panel in which you would want to replace this. The part number for the control panel is 154639207.

Robert, The control board 5304514670 would be the cause of the units heating element staying on after the unit is in the off position.

Kal, You will want to use a multimeter and check the power supply at the bottom of the unit. Put the leads on and run the cycle and make sure that there is not a voltage drop when the dishwasher is running or determine which cycle the unit is getting the PF error code. If the power supply checks ok then the issue will be with the control board.

Doug, You will need to test the voltage to the dishwasher while it is operating. If the line voltage drops by more than 10% or below 105 VAC the control will display the "PF" error code. If the Voltage remains above 105 volts, then there would most likely be a loose or damaged solder joint on the control board circuitry 5304514670 , causing the error code.
