My dishwasher does not have any display light in the panel. It is somewhat tricky because when you open the door all the way down,it would lit PF.So what I will do is push the cancel button and press the operation button like Speed Clean or any button and then press the Start button and it will function like the hot water is coming out from the left side. But I would stop it because the water rises and the door is open. So I am thinking that my control panel could be ok and that I guess there could be some cut in the harness, that when I move the door down there is a certain portion that it supplies power and the display comes out . What could be the fault of my dishwasher?

1 Answer

Hello Jim. You need to check the terminal block and the harness for a bad wiring issue.

Display and control panel stopped working, got replacement main control board per recommendation, after replacement the display changed codes to "91" and the China wash light remains on but the dishwasher still does not work and none of the buttons work. Changing back to the original board, the display now only displays the "91" and china setting, the original error code is gone. A previous search for the issue showed the touchpad and control panel to potentially be the problem.

Melody, The control board does not come with a diagram on how to install the new one. In order to replace the control board you would need to turn the power off to the unit, open the dishwasher door and remove the screws around the perimeter of the door. This will allow access to the control panel. You will remove the cover over the control board and transfer one wire at a time to the new control board and reassemble.

My dishwasher is still working properly, after the cycle ends there is a very small amount of water in the bottom (can only be seen when removing the screen and such). The issue started a few weeks ago when I noticed a sound coming from the washer after the cycle was over, it was a gurgling noise. It would make this noise for a few minutes then stop. Now it is constant. I tripped the door switch and found out that the pump is still pushing that small amount of water back thru the center post. Luckily I have an on/off switch installed so I can stop it after the cycle. But I have noticed that now during the full cycle it sounds like it is constantly pumping water, even during the heating/drying phase. It seems that the only culprit can be the control board, but wanted to verify this before I laid out the $$ for it. Thanks for any advice you can give.

1 Answer

Don, Based on the description, If the pump is continuously running and causing a gurgling type of noise during the cycle and after it would be caused by a faulty control board but you will also want to check to make sure that the wiring to the drain motor is in good condition. Make sure that there are no breaks or damage to the wires.
