Dick November 08, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore Elite Our dishwasher has begun stopping mid-cycle. Some 10-20 minutes after starting. This happens with the longer cycles. It does not happen with the shorter "time saver" cycle. I cleaned the entire machine (took it apart basically), but to no avail. I'm suspecting a faulty control panel. Any thoughts? Is this easy to replace?
1 Answer Hello Dick, If the unit is running into the cycle that long, I would suspect a water heating issue. Pull the tech sheet from behind the kick panel and check the components of the heating cycle and you will most likely locate the issue. If you require further assistance, please post the model number next time so we can concentrate on your specific model. Read More...
Sarah October 17, 2012 for Model Number whirlpool (electrolux) #GLD405ORHSI The cycle buttons work but not the start button. Is it the control panel or control board? Or are they the same thing?
1 Answer Hi. Look behind the lower kick plate or behind the control panel to find the tech. sheet that shows how to put it in a diagnostic mode. This will allow you to see which cicuit needs attention. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Let us know what parts we can assist you in getting. Thank You. Rich August 28, 2012 for Model Number fghd2433kf1-frigidaire galley Flashing error, went through reset by manufacture and reset power. Pf came up and pressed start cancel to clear. I tried to wash and started to work, drained then started water then stopped. Error code ER. I tried diagnostics and failed. I took the door a part and checked for moisture or loose connection but nothing. Is this the control board not button panel?
1 Answer Hello Rich, The ER error code is defined in the service manual as follows: When the control verifies that any of the pads on the membrane switch has been closed for one minute the failure will appear in the display. This will be the console assembly 154791806 causing the code. Read More...

Peanut June 04, 2012 for Model Number fdb4315lfco Peanut again. I tried cleaning the ribbon cable and checking connections as suggested. Now I can get it to go through the error check cycle up to step 8 and it blinks RA. We have already replaced the rinse aid unit because this was the initial error message when it first went wacky. Any further suggestions? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Peanut, I would probably check the harness with my test meter TJMA-DMT3 for proper continuity, (no resistance). If the harness is good, since you replaced the dispenser already, the control will have to be the problem. Of course, you could try the dispenser assembly again since you still have part warranty on it. Read More...
Peanut June 04, 2012 for Model Number fdb4315lfco My dishwasher is possessed. Sometimes it turns on by itself. If you try to select any of the cycles it ends by flashing ER uo. Cannot find anything on this error or which is the correct element to replace. Any suggestions? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Peanut. Try removing the ribbon cable from the control board and cleaning the ribbon cable with a pencil eraser. Then re-install the ribbon cable into the control board making sure it is good and dry. If so, and the problem continues, it sounds like the control panel 154639208 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Ran. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the control board. If so, and nothing works on the unit, you will need to replace the board 5304514670 in the unit. If the lights work, but the unit won't start, you will need to test the door switches and see if they are good. If so, replace the control panel 154791803. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
