Hello Matt. Check and make sure there is no clogs in the unit. If not, and you have tested to verify proper voltage to the pump, but the pump does not run, you will need to order and replace the drain pump assembly 154580301 on the unit. These can test good, but actually be bad. Be sure and verify the voltage coming to the pump and look for clogs before replacing the pump assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello John. Press the cancel/clear button on the control panel to clear the PF code. If that does not work, and the control panel is new, you need to check and make sure the ribbon cable is installed into the control board properly on the unit. If it is not, you will have issues with the unit not responding to buttons pressed on the unit.

Frustrated! On my dishwasher, it stopped working one evening and I noticed that the front of the door was warm in the middle. I traced it down to the control panel getting hot. By testing some of the connections, it seemed that the control board was bad. There appeared to be areas where it had an arced (two dark places on the board near transistors). Just to be sure, I checked the door latch connection, and tried to make sure the power was dead ending in the board. So I replaced the board. Same thing as before. When I turn the power on, it heats up in the same area. I don't want to ruin this new board. Any ideas on what to check?

Norm, You will want to check for wires that may be damaged that would cause the control to overheat and short to ground.

I HAVE AN ERROR CODE : ER U0. I called Frigidaire and was told that is has to do with the vent assembly and not communicating with the control board. Also that one of the cycle buttons may have been pushed one to many times before the cycle can complete. Re: the buttons, they told me to cut electric to the unit for 30 sec. and see if that resets the unit. It did not. I still get the ER UO blinking message. Is this a control board issue and can it be easily replaced?

1 Answer

Hello David, For the UO error code you will want to check the wiring between the vent assembly and the main control. If wiring is correct then replace the vent assembly. If the error still exist then it would be the control board. With the ER error code it indicates a failure of the Membrane switch. You would want to check ribbon harness to ensure it is seated properly and that there is no corrosion on the cable. If all checks ok then you would want to replace the Membrance switch. If problem continues replace control board.

Thanks for feedback. Here's more detail. Dishwasher starts the longer cycles (Anti-Bac, Pots & pans and Normal) but stalls out after about 15-20 minutes. Machine keeps running (circulating water in the tub) but will not go beyond that point (84 min, 82 min and 76 min). It also skips some minutes on the way down. So it is not really running for the full 15-20 minutes. Water in tub is hot, but probably not hotter than input water. Sensor light is also on when it stalls out. For shorter cycle (Time Saver), there is no problem. Suggestions?

Hi. Run the sink water and verify you have at least 120° incoming water temperature. Open the inner door to access the tech sheet. It is usually under the control panel or in behind the kick plate. It will show the circuit of the Thermistor part # WP8269208. Disconnect it from the control board and ohm out the circuit for. It should read 48-52k at room temperature, and 12-13k at 140°. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Thank You.

Hello Dick, If the unit is running into the cycle that long, I would suspect a water heating issue. Pull the tech sheet from behind the kick panel and check the components of the heating cycle and you will most likely locate the issue. If you require further assistance, please post the model number next time so we can concentrate on your specific model.
