Leslie R June 09, 2014 for Model Number LPHS2687KF0 I need a new control board for my Frigidaire Professional Series fridge. I see here that another person had my same issue. We had several power outages in one day and now we get the SYCE message on our fridge and it just turns on and off and clicks about 20 times and then comes back with the SYCE error code every time we plug it in. Can you tell me which control panel we would need.
1 Answer Leslie, The SY CE error code is a communication error at power up. You will want to check the wiring between the main control board and the user interface as best as possible. If the wiring checks ok then replace the user interface and if the problem persists then replace the main control board. The part number for the user interface board is 241973711 and the main control board is 5303918498. When checking the wiring there is only so much you can check. The most important thing will end up being the connections to make sure that there are no burnt or loose connections. Read More...
Tristan January 06, 2014 for Model Number Phsc39eess0 The control display does not light. I think the cooler still works as the freezer lights and freezer still operates. Please assist with how to troubleshoot and repair. Thanks.
1 Answer Tristan, If the user interface in the refrigerator compartment is not showing a the display then you will want to check the interface to see if it is getting 12 vdc to it. This would be don on the black and red terminals. If there is not power there then the main control board 241511102 is faulty and would need to be replace and if there is power there then the User interface [240596701] would need to be replaced. Edelvalle December 07, 2013 for Model Number PHSC39EHSS1 Serie: 4A72519348 I washed my refrigerator and then dried it and re-connected it. The bulbs and the fan that is located in the back of the unit come on. The display and compresor does not turn on. I appreciate your response and great support! I think that it is the Mother Board. Thanks, Edelvalle
1 Answer Hello Edelvalle, The first thing you should check is the wiring harness to the door. If this has gotten dis-connected, it will cause this issue. The problem could be the power supply on the board but it would not be feasible to replace it without making this easy obvious possibility. Read More...
Jack November 09, 2013 for Model Number FPHB2899LF4 I had a code on the digital monitor that had an SY or 5Y in the Freezer Temp and a a CE in the Refrigerator Temp. The display would not let me Power Off/On, none of the display settings would let me change anything. The lights in the refrigerator did not work, but the lights in the Freezer did work. Not sure how to fix it or what went wrong. It happened overnight
1 Answer Jack, The SY CE is a communication issue between the main control board and the dispenser control board. In most cases when this happens the main cause for the issue is the main power board 242115240. Read More...

Craig October 04, 2013 I have a fridgidaire professional refridgerator that is flashing EF upon start up. First the compressor runs for a few seconds than stops, then the control panel flashes EF along with the interior light! I did some research and replaced the fan motor but still no luck, It's a side by side refridgerator as well. Hoping someone has some idea of my next move Not cooling at all!!!!!
1 Answer Craig, The issue is a evaporator fan circuit failure and you will want to check wiring between evaporator fan and Main Control Board. Check for 12VDC to fan between red and brown wires. Check for variant voltage (depending on high or low speed) between yellow and brown. If correct replace evaporator fan. If error code still exist, replace Main Control Board. Read More...
Jerry September 26, 2013 for Model Number FGHS2355KE1 We have a Frigidaire Gallery side by side with digital controls. On its own, the refrigerator will sporadically beep many times - sometimes fifty - then reset the freezer to -6. The keypads are disabled while it goes through this process. After the keypads are enabled, you can set it back to default but it will again, start beeping and reset itself back to -6. The beeping continues off and on throughout the day/night.
Mitch July 14, 2013 for Model Number phsc39eess5 i cleaned some ice build up around the ice maker, when i put my food back, started making a loud noise, so i shut it off and turned back on. Now and E f code are showing, Ive unplugged so far for a maximum of 20 mins, plugged back in a reset but then it goes back to EF.. Should i unplug it for longer??? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
1 Answer Mitch, The Ef error is an indication that there is an evaporator fan circuit failure. You will need to check wiring between evaporator fan and Main Control Board. Check for 12VDC to fan between red and brown wires. Check for variant voltage (depending on high or low speed) between yellow and brown. If correct replace evaporator fan. If error code still exist, replace Main Control Board. Read More...
Doug May 22, 2013 for Model Number PHSC39EJSSO I have a frigidaire side-by -side. When I unplug the refridgerator and then plug it back in the fan and compressor run for about 30 seconds then shut off. Does this sound like a probem with the board or is the fan/compressor the problem. (perhaps drawing to many amps and therefore being shut down??

Martin W February 08, 2013 for Model Number ghsc239dwo Fridge is runnibg fine, but an odor has developed. must a refrigerator that has been sitting door closed and un plugged. I remove all food as weel as in the freezer, washed and sanitized both freezer and refrig. smell came back after a few hrs. Is there a air filter in this unit. what elsa could be causing this?? any help would be great. Motts
1 Answer Martin, No, most refrigerators don't have air filters(including yours) and most odors are from an outside source (something you put in the refrigerator) or from sitting for extended periods with the doors closed, allowing any previous odor to intensify. There's not much you can do, once you've washed the complete interior out with hot soapy water and rinsed it out(don't forget the door liner and gaskets as well). You can attempt to de odorize the interior using Baking Soda,Activated Charcoal, Coffe Grounds, Vanilla Extract, or Fabric Softner Sheets Read More...
