Leslie, The SY CE error code is a communication error at power up. You will want to check the wiring between the main control board and the user interface as best as possible. If the wiring checks ok then replace the user interface and if the problem persists then replace the main control board. The part number for the user interface board is 241973711 and the main control board is 5303918498. When checking the wiring there is only so much you can check. The most important thing will end up being the connections to make sure that there are no burnt or loose connections.

Hello Edelvalle, The first thing you should check is the wiring harness to the door. If this has gotten dis-connected, it will cause this issue. The problem could be the power supply on the board but it would not be feasible to replace it without making this easy obvious possibility.

Check for variant voltage (depending on high or low speed) between yellow and brown. If correct replace evaporator fan. If error code still exist, replace Main Control Board.

Martin, No, most refrigerators don't have air filters(including yours) and most odors are from an outside source (something you put in the refrigerator) or from sitting for extended periods with the doors closed, allowing any previous odor to intensify. There's not much you can do, once you've washed the complete interior out with hot soapy water and rinsed it out(don't forget the door liner and gaskets as well). You can attempt to de odorize the interior using Baking Soda,Activated Charcoal, Coffe Grounds, Vanilla Extract, or Fabric Softner Sheets
