Hello Jimmy. It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the back wall of the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Once the problem is repaired, you will need to thaw out the ice on the coils before the unit will operate properly. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

John, You'll need to check the refrigerator door light switch, and or voltage (120 VAC) to the control board from the door switch ( yellow/black wire). When the fridge door is open it supplies voltage to the control board, which causes the display to light. Voltage on the wire, indicates a faulty control board, no voltage indicates a door switch or wiring issue.

Rona, Yes, the first thing to check, is the wiring and the main power board 241511102 located on the bottom of the refrigerator, behind the kickplate grille. It will be a bit difficult to get at, you may have to raise the front of the fridge to remove the mounting screws and remove the mounting plate to slide the control box out.

Hello Audrey, The first thing you need to do is get behind the unit and remove the bottom cover to access the compressor. The compressor is probably not running. If I am correct, unplug the unit and remove the start device 297237702, (electrical thingy on the side of the compressor that the wires go to), and shake it. If it rattles, you have located your problem. As per the manufacturer you must also order wire harness connector part number 297177300 to be able to install the relay.

Bill, The main power board is located on the left hand side of the refrigerator, behind the kickplate panel on the front of the fridge. Once you find it and remove the one mounting screw, you'll be OK. Have you checked the refrigerator light door switch for proper circuitry, yet ? Thanks and Good Luck
