For Frigidaire Dispenser Control Board (Part Number: OEM11880183)

Joe for Model Number FRS6LF7JS3

Everything was working perfect on this and one day we went to get water out of the door and water came running out around control assembly. I took the cover off and saw where the tube had came out of the dispense hole. Replaced the tube and worked fine. Woke up the next day and had nothing. We have no lights lite up on the cover, it wont dispense ice, it wont let water flow out. The light in the freezer and ice making capabilities still works and I have power to the main board when door is closed as I checked with a meter. I have replaced the main board and ribbon cable already. Would it have shorted out the dispense board? Kinda getting tired of this trial by error thing. Thanks, Joe

Hello Joe. Check the micro switch in the dispenser and make sure it is good. If so, then it could be the dispenser board causing the issue with the unit.

Hello Jerry, This sounds like the main dispense board 241708202 or the dispense control 241708309 has an issue or one of the switch actuators 241680301 is depressing one of the switches. You can order both boards and return the one that isn't needed by calling in for a return authorization.

John, Under the circumstances, the board switch 241708309 would be the best place to start. Also check and make sure the ribbon cable 241680002 is properly installed and seated in the connectors between both boards.

Hello Skip, Either the control board is faulty or the switch is being tripped by a wire or the lever.

Hello Jose. The first thing you will want to test is the micro-switches 241689106 located inside the dispenser assembly. If they are sticking, the dispenser will continue to run. If they are good, you could have a bad control board 241708202 in the dispenser. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
