Zac for Model Number ATF7000ES1

My washer will start to drain for final spin, take a little water out and then flash No Spin and turn off. Pressing any button after that will cause ERR to flash on panel. It will go through the wash cycle, but not sure where it quits, on first draining or just on spin. I've taken the front off to clean the filter but found little in the filter to cause a problem. I found the service manual under the top panel and followed the instructions to get an error code - E45. This indicates control panel. Is this what I need then? The machine is getting old, the control panel housing is all cracked and the big gasket needs replacing too. Is it worth it to fix? I guess I have to decide that. It worked fine yesterday, and we've had no power surges or anything to fry the panel. I'm going to try putting it back together and give it another try, sometimes just taking it apart and putting it back together fixes things, like a loose connection or bad contact. Maybe I'll unplug and replug all the connectors, spray with some Deoxit. That always works with my tube amp, it is never actually the tubes, just the socket.

Zac, the error E45 would mean that the main control 137007000NH would need to be replaced as it is a direct failure of a component in the control.

Scott for Model Number LTF8000FE0

We recently had a power outage. Once it was restored, the outlet breaker was tripped. Once it was reset, the power in the outlet was confirmed but my washer was not working. When plugged in, all display lights are on but very dim. Allowing the unit to sit for 10-15 minutes results in the display lighting up a bit more but not to normal intensity. Turning the dial results in the display changing accordingly but still dim. The drum light stays on even when the door switch is engaged. Does this sound like the main board is now failing or can it be another problem?

Scott, It's highly likely, the 137007000NH Main Control Board was damaged by the voltage surge. If you have a multi meter you need to check for 120 VAC across the two wires in the J 14 connector on the main control board. If you have the voltage, replace the control board.

Joe, The E56 error code would be caused by a high motor current. Here are the things to check 1. Remove the belt from the motor and spin the motor pulley. Does the motor spin free? No. Replace the motor. Yes. Go to step (3) 2. Spin the tub pulley. Does the tub spin free? No. Check the tub bearings. Yes. Go to step (3) 3. Disconnect the plug from the motor and measure the resistance of the windings (pin 1 to pin 2, pin 1 to pin 3, pin 2 to pin 3). All readings should be between 4 and 6 Ohms. If the readings are correct, replace the speed control board. If the readings are incorrect, replace the motor.

Dennis, You will want to check to make sure that the pressure hose is not clogged. If there is no clog then this would most likely be caused by a control board issue since the pressure switch is new.

Steve for Model Number FFFW5000QW0

Over the last year, I have been losing cycle modes one by one. I am now on the last one, "Heavy". By losing, I mean the washer locks the door, makes noise that it would normally make before the water fills the basin, but then never fills, and then spins with no water for a few minutes. Then the timer resets to 3 minutes and counts down to 0 and shuts off and opens the door lock. Heavy mode still works and washes clothes just fine by my standard. I suspect control board based off other troubleshooting threads online, but I also question whether our German Shepherd's hair could be the root cause. Thank you in advance for your input.

Steve, It is not likely that the issue will be caused by hair from a dog but would be a main control board that is faulty.
