Wilks September 21, 2017 for Model Number Plmvz169gcc My Frigidaire microwave is completely dead after a storm-caused power loss. Display is blank, nothing works. I think it's the control board. Is this correct?
1 Answer Hello Wilks. You will need to check and see if the fuse is bad. If so, the unit will be dead. If the fuse is bad, then check the door switch and make sure it is good on the unit. Thanks. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Douglas July 09, 2017 for Model Number plm169dce In the past the exhaust would not turn on sometimes, then resume working normally. This morning it stopped completely. It will not work in high or low. I can hear what sounds like a relay coming on when I push the start button. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Charles P. October 30, 2014 for Model Number Sharp Carousel Convection Microwave R-9H94B My microwave was unplugged while we painted. When I plugged it in, the light came on and the turntable started turning and would not stop. I was able to set the clock. I was able to set the amount of Microwave time, but when I pressed Start, it would not Start. I was able to set a Convection temperature and time but it would not start. The light never goes out and the turntable never stops.
1 Answer Hello Charles, This is going to be a failed door switch. Since it is recommended to replace all three door switches there is no need to determine which one has failed. Read More...
Mike March 19, 2014 for Model Number PLMV169DDC The start button Does not work. Other buttons do work. What is the most likely part and how hard is it to change? Thank you for your help
1 Answer Hello Mike. It sounds like the membrane will need to be replaced on the control panel. This is not to hard of a job to do. You will need to have the full model number to locate the correct membrane for the unit. Read More...
Bill December 10, 2013 for Model Number plmvz169hca How do I change the control board model plmvz169hca frigidaire?
1 Answer Hello Bill. The board is not hard to replace, but you will need to remove the control panel from the microwave... more to access and replace the control board. To do this, remove the two screws on top that thread straight down toward the floor. Shift the air grille until the plastic clips allow removal, (this is normally easier with the door opened). With the air grille removed, you will see a single screw centered above the touch pad. Remove this screw and shift the touch pad assembly up and it will unhook from the plastic tabs fitted into the slots. Now for the important part. Use your cell phone to take several pictures of the control board with the wires still in place. Take the pictures from several different angles. These will be very useful to you when it's time for reassembly. From here the procedure is fairly self explanatory. With the wires removed, remove the screws that retain the board to the control panel assembly. Re-assembly is done in the reverse order. Read More...
Superman32428 July 29, 2013 for Model Number PLMV169DCD Hello, my microwave display quit working (showing only a few lit bars, not entire display, at first then going completely out). When the display quit working nothing on the unit worked, i.e. fan, light microwave, etc. The first time this happend we tapped the display and it came back on and microwave worked fine. Later in the day it happened again. I unplugged the unit, pulled the control board out and cleaned it up and replaced it, then the unit worked fine for about an hour. I can unplug the unit, let it sit, and replug it and sometimes it will work for a few minutes and sometimes not. Should I replace the control board, part # AP4358930?
1 Answer Hello superman32428. Yes, you will need to order and replace the control board 5304468192 in the unit. Read More...

Kitchen Kathy June 12, 2013 for Model Number Plmvz169gcd Everything works, fan, lights, turntable and panel but nothing gets hot or warm.. Not even water. Is this an easy fix or do i shop for another microwave? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Kitchen kathy. Check the magnetron and the diode. Mag should read less than 1 ohm and have no cracked magnets. The diode needs to only read in 1 direction. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
