Doug December 03, 2016 for Model Number LFFU14F5HEA Defrosted coils and when I plugged the unit in back into the wall, the compressor didn't kick in and the control panel light (door ajar and temp warning) are just blinking rapidly. Noticed ice buildup within the door. Anyone have an idea on what's going on? Thanks!
1 Answer Doug, Either the unit was in a defrost at the time that it was unplugged or the control board on the unit is faulty and would need to be replaced. Control board part number is 297370600. Read More...
Jerrold November 20, 2016 for Model Number Frigidaire LFFH1 7F7 HWB The door ajar and power loss lights are on and freezer is no longer running. Before today when I opened the freezer the interior light was blinking. I also noticed that it was not level today so I have leveled it out just about an hour and a half ago. I see water accumulating underneath the freezer as everything is thawing out. I have unplugged and plugged back in and I have also checked my circuit breakers. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Jerrold, If the light switch 297243800 is good and being activated properly by the door, the control 297235200 is the most likely issue. Read More...
Mike H November 11, 2016 for Model Number LFFH21F7HWG The freezer quits working. The controller shows High Temp and Power Loss. When I unplug it for a few minutes then plug it in it seems to work and the compressor comes on. Then if I open the door, the light blinks, the fan comes on and off with the light blinking and the controller makes a clicking noise each time the light blinks. Thanks for an help! Regards! Mike
1 Answer Mike, Based on the information it would appear that the unit is getting stuck in the defrost which would require a bad control board. Read More...

Colleen C October 15, 2016 for Model Number FF17F7HWA ser#W883554003 We have an upright Frigidaire freezer with the "deluxe control panel" every time the power goes out it ends up resetting to a very warm temp. When we push any of the buttons it does nothing and we actually get none of the error codes that it describes in the manual. The only way we can get any display is to keep unplugging the unit and plugging back in until finally there will be something on the display? However it is nothing that you would like and pressing any button doesn't change anything. Right now the compressor isn't running and I cannot change the display to lower the temp.It has been off since yesterday afternoon when BC Hydro shut off the power do we need to replace the control on the door panel?
1 Answer Colleen, Yes this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty electronic control board. Read More...
Robyn October 10, 2016 for Model Number FFFH17F6QW Just purchased a Frigidiare frost free upright freezer was wondering if I'm suppose to drain it cause looks like it has a drain hose on front bottom .
1 Answer Robyn, This unit does not require draining as it has a drain port under the evaporator coils behind the rear wall of the unit. This will allow to to drain to a drain pan that is on the compressor and evaporate. Read More...
Dave September 15, 2016 for Model Number FFH17F7HWC My freezer is frosting up. The heating element is working and the thermostat has continuity. Does the panel on the outside of the door control the defrost cycle, or is it the controller on the compressor? Are there any other components in the defrost circuit? Thanks much.
1 Answer Dave, This would be caused by a faulty control board 297235200 since the defrost heater and thermostat check ok. Read More...
Danny August 20, 2016 for Model Number LFFH17F7HWC How do I get the old control board off and put a new one on ?
1 Answer Hello Danny, You should use a putty knife with some electrical tape on the end to prevent scratching the door and carefully pry under the bezel until the retaining latches release from the door assembly. Pull control assembly straight out to avoid damaging the electrical connection wire prongs. To install the Precision Set control assembly: Push control in gently with the palm of your hand. You may need to slightly adjust the bezel position up or down to align connector pins. Gently push control flush to door with palm of hand. Read More...
Nick August 10, 2016 for Model Number LFFH17FHWD The building my unit is stored in was struck by lightning. Maria August 06, 2016 for Model Number FKFH21F7HWD I have an upright standing Frigidaire freezer model # FKFH21F7HWD and it has frozen food but stuff I put in last Saturday isn't frozen yet. Temp says -21* C on thermostat an 9* F. Technician came out and said that its the defrost timer. He got it running for about a week or so until the part is to come in. Maybe I can save some money doing it myself. Can you tell me what part would be needed to purchase?
1 Answer Maria, The part number that you would need for your unit is 297235200 and the control will just pull off the door. Read More...
