For Frigidaire Freezer Electronic Touch Pad Control Panel (Part Number: OEM18999918)

Bill for Model Number LFFH21F7HWG

I replaced the control board on the front door; the unit began running, and running, and running. When the temp got down to 4 deg. F I raised the temp setting to 10 deg. to see if the motor would stop; it didn't, it just raised the temp to 10 degs. When is the motor supposed to stop running. When it reaches the set temp or what? The ambient temp here now is averaging 95 to 100 in the day time, 70 at night. What is the unit trying to tell me when the control board reads; 0-F-FF, 0-F-FF, 0-F-FF...repeatedly. I'm having trouble figuring out how to put what where when I receiving a compressor repair kit on my upright freezer. Can anyone help?

Bill, These units are designed to operate optimally between 55 and 95 degrees. If the unit is setting in an area that is plus 95 degrees then it will run continuously to try to get the temperature to where it is supposed to be. The heat being pulled out of the unit is unable to release into the atmosphere at the ambient temperature that it is located in. If you are able to put a fan behind it then it would help because it will blow air across the compressor to try to extinquish the heat from the unit. As for the controls showing O-F-FF, that means that the unit is turned to the off position.

Hello Constantin. It looks like this is the snap in and out board. Just unsnap the old one from the door and snap the new one into place on the unit.

Derek B for Model Number Fridgedaire FSC23F7DSB

I have a side by side Frigidaire FSC23F7DSB counter depth (10 years old). I have noticed recently that sometimes when I open the refrigerator side the temperature of the freezer is registering way below what it is set for (-19°F when it's supposed to be 0°F). It eventually goes back to the set temperature. Is something failing or is this normal? Extra ice setting is not on. The fridge side displays 36°F as set. Double checked freezer temperature with infrared thermometer...display is reading correct temperature.

Hello Derek, It is possible the unit has a bad thermistor in it or it could have just went into a cool down mode in the unit. As long as it is working properly, it should be fine.

I have not checked the temperature values with another thermometer to see if they are accurately displaying.

Hello Derek, I'm sorry but we will need you to verify the model number from the units' I.D. tag and post them in a new question. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Steve, The only thing other than the door switch that would keep the freezer light on would be the control board which is part number 297235200.
