June, I would start by checking the water inlet valve, having to turn off the water at the supply to get it to stop could be the valve not closing or the ice maker still calling for water. Check the valve first. 242252603

Hector, In most cases, ice forming on the shelves or food bags or boxes is the result of a failed door seal. This would cause the ice maker fil tube to form ice also and spew out instead of flowing out causing leaks. Look for gaps in the door seal when the door is closed and anywhere the seal isn't touching the cabinet is letting moisture in. 241786006
