Frigidaire Fan May 07, 2024 for Model Number FGGF3036TFB 6 year old Frigidaire range. There is "increased gas smell", "slow to light", and "oven burner turns off & on frequently". This only happens on the Bake function, not Broil (separate igniter). Not addressed in your videos is the situation that my gas valve amperage draw is 4.6A, ABOVE the 3.0 - 3.6A range. For the heck of it, I measured the OHMs of the bake oven igniter at 191, to the broiler igniter at 88 ohms. A higher resistance would force a higher amperage draw, but I don't know if this is meaningful here. In any event I still suspect the oven bake igniter. Any ideas? Thanks.
1 Answer Frigidaire fan, based on the information provided, the igniter 5304506545 has failed. Read More...

Brian December 01, 2022 for Model Number 790.74333313 Hello. Just to make sure, is 5304506545 the bottom bake ignitor for my oven? Or 316489403? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Brian, the correct bake burner ignitor is part 316489403 316489403. The manufacturer on their parts diagram has the locations reversed. Read More...
Red January 06, 2022 for Model Number FGF368GMH Frigidaire gas range. Does not seem to be preheating to correct temp, display says it is at 375 but takes 10- 30 minutes longer to cook. Then tonight the oven took about 15-20 minutes to ignite. Is this an igniter issue or something else? The stove is about 12 yrs old.
1 Answer Red, This could be a week ignitor, check for 3.2 - 3.6vac at the safety valve. If you have the correct voltage range then the valve would be the issue, if not then the ignitor would be the problem. Read More...
Mike December 31, 2020 for Model Number FGGF3054MFA The oven igniter at the bottom of the oven will brightly glow. The oven started to take longer to to start the gas valve to turn on. Even with the igniter glowing on start up and a possible main burner start up, the gas burner will shut off, ( flame will go out ) or not go on. Should I replace the bottom igniter in the oven,( part # AP603646 )?
1 Answer Mike, This issue sounds likely that you have a weak igniter but can test to see if you are getting less than 3.0 Vac at the oven safety valve when the igniter is glowing. If less than that thenit would be a weak ignitor and need replaced. Read More...
John August 28, 2020 for Model Number FFGF3023L how do you know if ignitor is going is there a way to ohm it out and what is the acceptable range
1 Answer Hello John, testing glow bar/hot surface ignitors for resistance is not the best way as the acceptable ohm value is quite large. The most reliable way is to use an amprobe/current sensor on it and in use it should draw 3.2-3.60 amps, if under 3.2-3.0 amps it is worn and may may not open the gas valve in an acceptable time. Bill July 31, 2020 for Model Number LGGF3043KFJ I'm chiming in on the issue that seems several people have raised. For my Frig. range, I pulled the actual Oven Igniter part out and the correct part number is 316489403 and it has a 14" wire on it. I noticed in two separate response to questions on this post your techs reversed their answers. To Ann you confirmed that the bake igniter s/b 5304506545. To David you confirmed that the bake ignitor s/b 316489403. David's answer is correct. The mfg diagram may be at fault here but you guys should really fix your AP part numbers and descriptions to get this right. Both your part numbers are labeled: "Oven Ignitor" but if you look at the mfg part #s associated you will see the correct numbers as noted above. PLEASE fix this so as to avoid future confusion and part returns!
1 Answer Bill, the part description is not incorrect in either case. Both of those parts are used across various models and on many models that ignitor is indeed an oven ignitor. Confusing I agree, but still correct and the manufacturer is the who sets the part description with the part number, we just offer what they provide. Read More...
Anne July 13, 2020 for Model Number 790.71342706 You've got the ignitor parts numbers and repair videos mixed up on your website. This explains why so many people are having the same question. In the Q&A, you state which part is the broiler ignitor and which is the bake ignitor. However, the repair videos for each part show the opposite part being fixed. Please have someone fix the website so that it isn't all mixed up. In the meantime, I want to order the bake ignitor, not the broil ignitor. Please confirm which part number this is.
Bev July 08, 2020 for Model Number FGGF3054MFE Okay, I am really confused by the questions/answers. I need a baking oven igniter. Your repair video for oven igniter # AP6036346 shows the bake igniter being replaced. Your repair video for oven igniter AP4433236 shows the broil igniter being replaced. Is this correct? Also, I couldn't make out the tool that is needed in addition to a flat head screwdriver. Can you assist?
1 Answer Hello Bev, The tools needed are a 1/4 inch nut driver and a flat blade screwdriver. The broil ignitor is shown in this video although the replacement is similar for both. To view the video for the bake ignitor you can view the video for part number 5303935066. Read More...
