The Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly is an OEM component specifically designed for Frigidaire ranges. This locking system safely secures oven doors during cleaning or self-clean cycles through the electromagnetic operation.

Symptoms of a defective assembly include:

  • Failure to engage or release the door lock function
  • Loud buzzing or grinding noises from internal mechanisms
  • Error codes related to door lock detection problems

Causes relate to wear from continual operation of locking solenoids over extended use. Exposure to cooking residues and cleaning chemicals can deteriorate switches.

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with some Kenmore and GE appliance brands. Replacing worn components restores reliable door locking to automatically secure during high-heat cycles. Timely maintenance preserves safety functionality.

Bill, This issue would most likely be caused by a failed control board. The fact that you get 240 from L1 to L2 indicates that power is at the board but not going through the relay on the board.

Baher, The F11 code, is most likely due to you holding the two buttons down for too long a period " F11 Shorted Keypad (F11, 12 & 13) Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power. If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC." The F90 code would indicate an issue in the wiring, switches or door lock mechanism " F90 Maximum oven door unlock time exceeded Check the wiring between EOC & Lock Motor Micro Switch. Check for binding of the Latch Cam,Lock Motor Rod & Lock Motor Cam. Replace the Motor Door Latch assembly if necessary." 5304528973 Thanks and Good Luck

Tom, If you don't have a failure code in the clock display, you could apply 120 VAC to the motor terminals with a power test cord and observe the motor run. You never mentioned an issue, most of the time, the motor is not the problem, usually the issue is in the switch(s) or the latch linkage to the front. Thanks and Good Luck

Hi Michael. Check the relay power out from the clock part # is 316207511. It should give 120 vac to each element when asked. There should already be 120 vac to one side each of the element waiting for the relay to close for element heat. The senser is part # 316233903. It should ohm 1060 ohms cold not shorted or open. Bake element is part # 316202200. Broil Element is part # 316202200. They should read 11-32 ohms individually, not shorted either. Thank you.

Hello Mickey. You will need to check and see if the clock assembly is bad and will need to be replaced. Test and see if it is sending voltage to the bake and broil elements. If not, and there is power coming to the clock, you will need to replace the clock 5304511908. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
