Tom July 01, 2015 for Model Number LRA187MT2 Wall AC unit was working fine, left the room and when I came back, it was completely dead (as if no power was present). Is this more likely the control panel or PC board?
1 Answer Hello Tom. The first thing to check is the power cord 5304476376. If it is good, then you will need to replace the control board 5304492070 on the unit. Read More...
Tommy T May 15, 2015 for Model Number Frigidaire model LRA157MT1 My AC unit suddenly started shutting off and on rapidly over and over. It loses power because the front panel lights go out and back on over and over. Sometimes it will run 20 hours and sometimes 20 minutes. I've replaced the main control board OEM Part - Manufacturer #5304492070 and it ran about 15 hours and started it again. Please help. Thank you
1 Answer Tommy, You will want to check the main power supply to ensure that you are not dropping voltage when the unit is running. The other cause for this issue would be a faulty display control board. The display board part number is 5304477181. Read More...

1 Answer Larry, You will want to check the power supply coming into the unit where the power cord attaches to the control board. If there is power there then the control board would be the issue. If there is no power then the power cord would need to be replaced. Read More...

Thanks, Monty.

Eric June 08, 2014 for Model Number LRA157MT1 I was running my a/c on economy mode. I had it set on 67° and the fan kicked off but the compressor continued to run. I hit the off button, the display turned off, but the compressor continued for a few minutes until it tripped the breaker. The system seems fine when in cool mode. I tried to switch it to fan only and turn the system off but, lucky me, the compressor still runs. I have to unplug it from the wall. Any thoughts? Thanks
Gil May 02, 2014 Hi.. I have a frigidaire Window A/C unit, 25K BTU that is only a few years old. I replaced the PC board as suggested here but it didn't solve the problem. The fan motor will start up and run for a while and then stop. Sometimes it will run for quite a few hours and then other times only an hour or so. The motor spins freely and I have noticed that sometimes it tries to run in reverse. If it doesn't start up when I press the ON button and just sits there and hums like its trying to start, I can spin the fan in the correct direction and it will start. Any other suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Gil. Based on the information you provided, either the run capacitor for the fan motor or the fan motor is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
