Brad October 12, 2021 for Model Number LRA187MT2 Where do I find the control board on Frigidaire Model LRA187MT2? Does the unit slide out of the outside cover? Whats the best way to get at the control board for replacement? Thanks.
1 Answer Brad, with the power supply cord unplugged, there will be screws securing the front panel located just behind the filter. Once these screws are removed, the front panel would pull forward, exposing the display control and the main control. Read More...

Jkmhb June 17, 2020 Good afternoon! My AC i not cooling, thae compressor does not turn on and othe functions, like the fan and temp seetings seem OK. Is this llikely the control board? Model on tag is LRA187MT2. Thanks!
1 Answer JKMHB, You will want to check to see if there is power from the control board to the compressor. If there is not then the board is faulty and would need service. If there is power then the capacitor would likely be the issue. Read More...

Bob September 06, 2016 for Model Number Lra257st2 I cannot control temp, have an error code. So the unit will not shut off. Any suggestions
Mark A. June 02, 2016 for Model Number LRA187MT2 Our Frigidaire A/C unit has stopped cooling. After the compressor stopped working for a short while it would work if you turned the thermostat way down. Now, the compressor never kicks in, though the fan runs fine. We took it apart and checked the run capacitor and it checked out fine at 38.8 µF. So we unhooked the ambient temperature sensor and turned the unit on. We got the "AS" error message but the compressor turned on (good think too -- it's hot out!). For now we are running it without the ambient temp sensor (manually turning it on and off), but it would be great if the thermostat worked! We tested the sensor we removed with a multimeter and the resistance does go up when the temp goes down. Do you think it is the temperature señor, or could it be the board?
1 Answer Hello Mark. It sounds like the board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
