The Oven Temperature Sensor is an OEM part for Frigidaire ovens. It monitors and regulates the oven's temperature by sending accurate temperature readings to the control board. This ensures that the oven maintains the desired cooking temperature throughout the baking or roasting process.

Causes of a bad oven temperature sensor include exposure to high heat over extended periods, electrical issues, or physical damage to the sensor probe.

Symptoms of a bad oven temperature sensor include:

  • Incorrect oven temperatures
  • Overheating or underheating during use
  • Erratic temperature readings
  • The oven not reaching the set temperature

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Albert, With getting the F31 error code and the sensor has been replaced, wires between the clock and the sensor are good then the issue will be caused by a faulty control board. The part number for the clock is 5304518661.

Brenda for Model Number FEF366ASH

I was making meatloaf in the oven after it was on about 20 min. I heard a loud noise, what sound like a gun shot coming from the kitchen area. After looking outside and around all the window, I then look in the oven thinking my glass pan had broke, but it was all intact. After about 30 min later I check the oven and I could see my meatloaf wasn't done and that when I thought something must be wrong with the heat. So the panel on the stove all light up even the oven light and put the time in for heat, but there is no heat. Wondering if it the probe that need to be place?

1 Answer

Brenda, The oven probe will most likely not be the cause for this issue. You will want to check the oven bake element and make sure that it did not burn out. If the element checks ok then the most likely cause for the issue would be the oven control board.

Hello Terry, If this also affects the surface elements the issue will be a the terminal block where the power cord connects to the unit, the wall outlet, or the breaker in the home breaker box. If the surface is not affected, look for the problem at the electronic control 316207600.

Don for Model Number 79075864301

Hello, I'm having an issue with my gas oven not staying on. I replaced the ignitor about 6 months ago when the oven wasn't coming on at all. Now the oven turns on for about 4 min, and the oven light turns off. It will turn back on in about 3 min and this cycle just continues. The oven never reaches the temperature set. Is there a part that regulates temperature on this model to cause it to turn off thinking it has reached is designated temperature? Thanks!

1 Answer

Don, You will want to test the oven sensor to make sure that the sensor has a resistance rating of 1090 ohms of resistance at room temp. If this checks ok then the issue would most likely be caused by a faulty oven safety valve.

Leon, Check the wiring from the control board to the sensor to make sure that it is ok. If this checks ok then the control board is faulty and would need to be replaced.
