Bob M May 13, 2014 for Model Number Frigidaire FEF366CSF Bake element burnt out. I replaced it but the new element does not work. Tests 25 ohms. When it burnt out could it have caused other problems ?
1 Answer Hello Bob. It is possible that it shorted out the clock assembly 316207511. If the voltage to the unit is correct and the element is new, replace the clock. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Ken November 15, 2013 for Model Number fefl78cbc I had the oven on when I heard a electrical short pop, which sent the range into an F1 status. I followed the manual restart but it just cycled back to F1. I unplugged again and left it overnight. I plugged the range back in and everything worked except the oven and broiler would not heat up. After several attempts I took the back off and where the probe is located I noticed burnt indications of a short reaction. After reading all the questions none satisfied totally my situation. Is it a probe replacement for an electric range
1 Answer Ken, The F1 error code indicates " F1 Control Failure : Shorted keypad. Internal checksum may have corrupted control relay shorted or bad probe. Check probe and probe wiring and replace if bad. Power off for 30 seconds. If fault returns replace control". Since you mentioned a "I noticed burnt indications of a short reaction." you'll want to repair any damage to the sensor probe 316233903 wires and replace the probe. If the problem persists, you'll need to replace the ERC/Clock 316207529 as well. The shorted probe could damaged the circuit in the control. Read More...
Micheal August 04, 2013 for Model Number GLGF366ASC The oven will come on and heat but will not reach operating temperature. I set temperature at 375 oven begin heating but 45 minutes later still not up to temperature but oven was warm
1 Answer Michael, This is a gas range, Does the broil burner ignite and heat ? if so, you most likely have a weak bake burner igniter 5303935066,weak igniters are the most common issue for temperature problems in a gas oven. if you remove the bottom floor panel in the oven, program a bake cycle and observe the igniter, it should be glowing "white" hot in 60 seconds or less. It should be drawing 3.2 to 3.6 amps at this point. If you can get access to a clamp on amp meter you can verify the draw. if the amps are not reached, the gas valve won't open or becomes intermittent and the ignition process ceases and the oven doesn't reach the selected temperature. Miff July 14, 2013 for Model Number PLGF389CCC I've been getting F3 and F1 error messages on my stove, started off as just an F3 every now and then, now I have one or other coming on every time I try to use the oven (and sometimes just for no reason at all). We tested the resistance on the temperature probe and that is okay. Is it still worth replacing this to see if it solves the problem or do we have to replace the full electronic panel? Thanks
1 Answer Miff, The F1 error code is an indication of a runaway temperature. This would require checking the oven sensor which should be 1090 ohms at room temp and if this checks ok then replace the oven control. The F3 is an open or shorted probe connections. Check the sensor harness and if the harness checks ok then replace the control. Read More...
Mark June 14, 2013 for Model Number 790.95201103 When power is turned on to the range, the oven begins to heat even though the oven isn't turned on at the control panel. The oven heats out of control until the F1 Code appears and it begins to beep. Only way to stop it is to disconnect the power. Is this the oven probe gone bad? or is it the control panel? or something else? Thanks.
Steve H June 10, 2013 My Frigidaire oven is not working at one of my rental properties and the technician says "diagnostics has revealed the failure of the "2 out" relay has failed and in need of replacement of the electronic control and black graphic overlay". Just what is this control and what might have caused the malfunction...the range is less than six years old. The tech states that the part is $135.00 +tax. Is this in line? Please advise. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Steve. Yes, if the part is bad, it can cause the issue you are having. As for the part and price, we would need the model number for that information. Read More...
Kim March 09, 2013 for Model Number kenmore 790.95664100 Had an F1 error on the stove, and the oven went in to clean mode, heating and door locked(the oven was not physically turned on by me) I unplugged overnight, plugged back in, no longer get a F1 error, but oven turn on without me physically turning on. Have read the posts on the EOC, but not sure whether this is an EOC or probe problem.
1 Answer Kim, You will want to do a resistance check on the oven sensor 316233903. The reading should have a reading of 1090 ohms at room temp. If not then it would need to be replaced. Since the error code went away but oven continues to come on then you may also need to replace the EOC 316207522. Read More...
Josh January 03, 2013 for Model Number fef339fsc Does it mean I need a new clock control panel if I only get 115volts to the bake element. I got 115 volts to l1 and l2 in but when I turn the oven onto bake I only get 115 to the bake, broil, and l 2 out wire
1 Answer Hello Josh. If there is 120 volts coming to the clock, but not out, you will need to replace the clock. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Lu Ann December 10, 2012 for Model Number FEF326FBE Oven does not heat; however, neither oven nor broiler heating elements come on. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Lu Ann. If none of the elements are working on the unit, you need to test, at the terminal block of the unit, for 240 volts. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Luke November 14, 2012 My oven had an error f30. I found a loose wire on the sensor probe and fixed it. Now it says f31 so does that mean the probe is broken then?
1 Answer Hello Luke. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
