Sam, this error is going to indicate that the heating circuit is open. With the dryer unplugged, the heater 134792700 coils would need to be tested for resistance to identify if there is an open circuit. If there is, it would need to be replaced. If there is not an open circuit on the heater, then the wires would need to be inspected. If the wires check good, then the main control 809160802 will have failed.

Heather, you will need to check the element and wiring for any connection to ground. This can be done by testing the element to the chassis for continuity with the wires disconnected. If there is continuity from the element to the chassis, then the element is grounded out and would need to be replaced. Same can be said of the wiring.

Hello Jeff, You can use a test meter TJMA-DM1 to determine if the parts are bad. If they are bad, an ohmmeter will read as though the leads are not touching anything. If good, the thermostat will read zero ohms of resistance and the heating element will read somewhere from 10O to 15O.

Ray, You want to make sure that blower wheel is moving air.Make sure rear panel is not damaged and touching heater assembly and the outlet duct is outside the panel.

Lynn, With this issue it would be recommended to check the heater to make sure that the heater is not grounding out. If this checks ok then check the thermostats to make sure that they are good.

Hello Mirta. High vent restriction, High Limit Thermostat defective or Inlet Thermal Limiter tripped. For Electric Model, check Inlet Thermal Limiter for continuity. If Thermal Limiter is open, check for evidence of high temperature event and any resulting damage. If no further damage is evident, replace Thermal Limiter. If no problems are found with the Thermal Limiter, check exhaust vent system for air blockages. If no problems with vent restrictions, check/replace High Limit Thermostat, and retest.

Darien, The 134792700 / 134792700 Heater Assembly, is a "complete unit ", and contains all three elements, it has to be replaced as an assembly. The Hi Limit Thermostat is 3204267 / 3204267 and the Thermal Limiter is 137032600 / 137032600. The manufacturer(s) recommend you replace both the thermostat and limiter at the same time, if the hi limit switch fails, or is weak.

Dennis, There is a thermal fuse located on the side of the duct assembly that would be part number 134711401 and a the part number for the thermal fuse on the burner housing will be part number 137032600.
