Sanford R. August 22, 2012 for Model Number ger341cso I need to know where the wires hook up on the timer, part #ap2107515 for gibson dryer. You're help would be greatly appreciated. The dryer model number is GER341CS0.
1 Answer Hello Sanford, Black to terminal B. Brown to terminal C. Tan to terminal X. Purple to R. Yellow to A. The end of cycle buzzer wires will go to terminals C and H. The 4.4KO resistor will go to terminals TM and R. The timer motor has two black wires which should be plugged onto terminals TM and C. I believe this is all of the wires. If not, you need to pull the tech sheet for your unit and verify by the information on your unit specifically. Since I'm not there to pull the tech sheet, I had to pull a generic wiring diagram from a generalized service manual. Read More...
Kim B. May 12, 2012 for Model Number FDE546RES1 See my previous question. The timers look identical (the original and the replacement). Is there a photo or diagram you can send me that tells me where everything goes (example: the orange wire in the top right corner of the timer runs to the temperature selector knob)?
1 Answer Hi Kim. Normally there is a wiring diagram with every unit behind the timer. There is a white wire which hooks to the "c" timer terminal that goes to the thermal limiter fuse on the back wall at the 1:00 position. There is a white wire from there as well to the buzzer. Then another one that connects to the timer motor lead there at the "c-terminal as well. The other side of the buzzer has a wire that connects to the "H" terminal. The "A" terminal has a org/tan wire connected to it that goes to the fabric switch # 1 terminal. The "X" terminal has 2-tan wires, one that go to the start switch and the other goes to the motor. The "B" has a red/wht that goes to the drum light. Then the "TM" has a wire from the timer motor and the resistor hooks there as well. The other side of the resister hooks to the "R" terminal. Timer part # 131719100. Thank You. Read More...
Kim B May 06, 2012 for Model Number FDE546RES1 The timer on my dryer quit timing, but still allowed me to use my dryer. I ordered a replacement from you folks (AP2107515) and it blows the breaker when I hit the start button. I put my old timer back in and the dryer runs but the timer does not work. You folks sent me another timer and it too blows my circuit breaker. What can I do? Just as bit of extra info, the first time I put the 1st replacement timer in, it appeared to work. I set the timer for 5 minutes and it ran and the buzzer went off (the one that tells you that it is about finished). The next day when I went to use it, it only blew the breaker when I hit the start button.
1 Answer Kim, Check and make sure you're recieving the correct part in the package, on the replacement timer, the Mfg. number 131719100 should be on the label, in the lower left hand corner. If the number is different then we have the wrong part in the packaging. This timer has been substituted by the manufacturer, so make sure you're installing the proper wire on the proper terminal, not necessarily "wire for wire" location.Sometimes terminals get re located as compared to the original. Clyde D. February 12, 2012 for Model Number FDE747RBT1 (Frigidaire Dryer) Dryer starts heat is working blower is working. Timer knob does not advance. Do I need a new timer or should I look for something else?
1 Answer Hello Clyde. Test and see if there is power coming to the timer motor. If there is power coming to the timer motor, and it does not turn, you will need to replace the timer 131719100 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Herbert B. February 07, 2012 for Model Number GLER341AS2 I can't figure out which color wires to hook to the timer, start switch, end of cycle control, and temp control switch. I accidentally disconnected some of them while changing the drum belt. Any color diagrams or reference other than the schematic?
1 Answer Hello Herbert. Sorry, but the manufacture does not offer a color diagram, you will need to use the wiring diagram on the dryer to wire the timer 131719100. Also, you can post the question on the repair forum and see if the other technicians out there have any diagrams. Here is a link to help you. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/ Read More...
Jim January 03, 2012 for Model Number de6420rw-3 Timer doesn't turn it is 18yrs old. Whats the best way to check to see if the timer is bad? Frigiaire Mod. # de6420rw-3 Thanks JIM
1 Answer Hello Jim. Test best way to test the timer 131719100 is to test for power coming to the timer motor. If there is power there, and the motor does not run, replace the timer. If there is no power there, you will need to trace the wires and see where you are loosing power to the timer motor at. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Ric November 10, 2011 Frigidaire model gler331as2 wires cam off timer. I have the wiring diagram but hard to determine which wire goes where. Part # is ap2107515 I have 5 wires one each orange, red, white, black and tan. Is there a site I can clearly see which wire connects to which terminal on this part? Thank you
1 Answer Hi Ric. The timer is part # 131719100. There is a wiring diagram behind the controls folded up. Black wire from the buzzer goes to "C" on the timer. White from the thermal fuse and the timer motor itself also hooks there. The black from the timer motor (other one) hooks to timer "TM",same as one side of the external resister hooks there also (TM). Both tan wire's hook to "X" terminal. The other side of the resister and the black wire from the high limit thermostat hook to "R". Finally the orange wire hooks to the "A" terminal. Thank You. Read More...
