1 Answer Hello Atoz. You will test for power to the water valve. If there is power there and the valve does not work, you will need to replace the valve on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Randy June 13, 2016 for Model Number GE washer model # wssh300g2ww While washer is running a fairly loud humming noise is heard-sounds like a solenoid hum-any idea which solenoid or maybe a pump? Definitely a 60 hertz hum. Water does flow into washer as normal-just makes noise.
1 Answer Hello Randy. The water valve 134371220 is part of the dispenser assembly. If the hum is coming from it, and the screens are not clogged, you will need to replace the valve on the unit. Read More...
Celia April 28, 2015 for Model Number GLTF2940FS1 The fabric softener is not leaving the cup during the rinse cycle. Are the filters of the water inlet valve removable? There is debris at the entry point of the washing machine. A plumber had cleaned them once, but I do not need him to come back just for that. How do I remove them? It does not seem necessary to replace the entire water inlet valve. Thank you!
1 Answer Celia, you'll need a pair of pliers, small flat blade screwdriver and an old tooth brush, first turn the water off at the wall, and unplug the power cord from the outlet. Disconnect the hoses from the faucet, use the screwdriver to remove the screened washer in the end of the hose. Use the toothbrush to clean the screens while running the water over the washer. Disconnect the hoses from the fill valve, use the screwdriver to carefully extract the debris screen from the valve openings, you don't want to put a hole in the screens. repeat the cleaning process with the running water and tooth brush. Use the screwdriver to reinsert the screen in the valve opening as far as possible. Try not to distort the screens. Read More...

Felicia December 03, 2014 for Model Number FAFW3574KR0 I am only able to load three or four items of clothing at a time. If there is more than that the washer cuts off and no more water comes in. I recently had the water inlet valve changed for this same problem but it did not work. Is there something else that could be the problem?
1 Answer Felicia, You will want to check the unit to make sure that the pressure hose is not clogged and check the pressure switch for being bad. Also get the tech sheet from inside the unit and run a service diagnostics mode and see if there are any stored error codes. Also check the drain pump to make sure that there is nothing clogging it or the filter assembly. Read More...
Pamela November 29, 2014 for Model Number GLTF2940FS2 When I turn on my washer the water comes in and quickly stops. My husband checked the drain line cleaned it out. It washed good for several days, but then stopped in the middle of a cycle. Error code 23 was the code which could be several issues according to the code sheet. The water valve was clogged on the cold water side. Before I purchase the water valve I want to make sure I am getting the correct part. What do you think it could be? Thanks
1 Answer Pamela, Unfortunately we do not have the data sheet that you have but if the water valve is clogged then this would most likely be the cause for the E23 error code on your unit. Read More...
