I removed the hose from the sump but there is no where to put the flapper. The flapper has a little square space - which I assume hooks on to something - but I see NOTHING like that. William January 25, 2015 for Model Number FFBD2409LQ0B Water goes into the dishwasher, it does not fill up and I can see it comming out the drain hose in the back. I checked the drain motor and under the strainer. When I pour water in it just goes out the drain inlet in the botton. Does the drain motor keep the water from going out? I was also looking at the flapper on the drain hose. I would think it stops the water from going out until the drain motor starts, and puts more pressure on the flapper valve opening it. Thanks Bill
1 Answer William, You will want to make sure that the flapper is in the drain pump but you will also want to make sure that the drain goes to a 32" loop before going into the drain at the sink. If not this will cause a siphon effect and the water will just flow out. Read More...
