Linda November 04, 2013 I found part #WR55X10151 when I was moving and need to know what refrigerator it goes to. I have had Whirlpool French door refrigerator for the past 2 years but prior to that I'm not sure what brand I had. Can you tell me if I should pass it on with the French door refrigerator? Thank you. Linda Kipnes

John October 28, 2013 for Model Number pss26ngpaww refrigerator won't run; lights on; defrost timer, start rely and overload protector are OK. Also compressor shows proper resistance reading (all possible compressor pin pairings show partial resistance on each; bare housing and each terminal read infinity). What may be faulty?
1 Answer John, If the lights are working but the fans are not coming on and the compressor is not working then the main control board would be the issue. Read More...
Steve R October 27, 2013 for Model Number pss26ngpaww I have a GE refrig that is about 15 years old. It stopped working. The lights still go on and I can hear the fan. I had a repair tech tell me it is the mother board. He did not look nor test any thing else. He opened up the back, took out the MB and saw a burnt spot. If this part is replaced will that do the trick or is it possible that there is something else that has caused the MB to burn and it will happen again in time or right away? Does it make sense to repair this fridge 15 years old that has been working fine until this? Thank you!
1 Answer Steve, This issue would be caused by a faulty main control board WR55X10942C and you would want to replace it. The burn mark normally means that a relay or resistor on the board burnt but not caused by another issue. Read More...
Appliancewoes October 24, 2013 for Model Number GSS25TSTBSS I have a GE refrigerator model # GSS25TSTBSS. The refrigerator intermittently stops working. The temperature will start to rise in the freezer and refrigerator usually to a temperature where food needs to be removed and put into a cooler and the ice in the freezer is melting. Sometimes the refrigerator stops working for a few hours and sometimes it stops working for an entire day. However, it will eventually start cooling again. When the refrigerator is not cooling the temperature rise can be seen on the outside temperature panel near the water dispenser. The water dispenser also will not dispense water or ice when the refrigerator is not cooling properly. Once the refrigerator starts cooling again the dispenser will function properly. Could this be a bad motherboard or a compressor relay issue? Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello ApplianceWoes. The main control board WR55X10942C is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...

Mike October 10, 2013 for Model Number I have a G.E. ref model# pss26sgrc ss,serial# dh412964 I wanted to know what year it was made, and nothing comes on but the light.the temperature controll panel has nothing on.no fans.would it be the controll board on the back side of the frig.can I test the out coming side of the mother board to see if thats where I should start.what readings do I look for, amps, volts, many thanks, mike st.cloud fla.
1 Answer Hello Mike. This product could have been manufactured February of 1981 or 1993 or 2005. As for the issue, if there is power coming to the board, and it does not come on, replace the board. No power, replace the main board on the back of the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Von L October 09, 2013 for Model Number dss25pfmdww GE Fresh food side freezes. I replaced damper and sensor...having the same problem what can I check next.
1 Answer Von, Most likely with replacing the damper and the thermistor then the control board is reading the thermistor improperly causing this issue. Read More...
