Ted February 09, 2020 for Model Number GSH25KGREBB Fridge keeps making a clicking sound. Research is telling me mother board. Could you email me with your input on the cause for confirmation.
1 Answer Ted, it would be recommended that the location of the clicking is identified. If the compressor start relay WR07X10084 has failed, it can cause the compressor overload to click. If it is a rapid clicking (similar to a playing card in a bicycle wheel), then it could be the evaporator fan hitting ice from the unit not defrosting properly. If the clicking is coming from just above the compressor section in the back, then it would be likely that the main control WR55X10942C has a failed relay. Read More...
Paul February 06, 2020 for Model Number ZISS420DMC My Dispenser Control Board is not working. How do I trouble shoot it and how do I remove it?
1 Answer Paul, the dispenser control WR55X23461 should be receiving 12VDC when tested at the three-wire connector. From the orange wire at pin 5 (black probe of meter used on this wire) to the brown wire at pin 3 (red probe of meter used on this wire). If there is 12VDC, then the dispenser control should be operating properly (improper operation at this point would be a failed display). If there is not voltage, then the wire harness at the hinge will need to be inspected. If there are no breaks or bare wires, then the main control WR55X11130 has failed. Read More...
Jim February 01, 2020 for Model Number ZFSB26DRFSS The compressor stopped working. I can jumper the L1 to compressor on the main control board and the compressor will run. Failed main control board? Thanks for your time Jim
1 Answer Hello Jim, if you are not getting voltage from the board to the compressor then the answer would be yes. However, if you are getting voltage from the board you might want to look at the start device WR09X10107. Read More...
Brian January 18, 2020 for Model Number ZFSB25DMDSS Hello. Sometimes when I open the fridge door or the freezer door the lights inside don't come on. Sometimes they do. Also, sometimes when I open the freezer door the evaporator fan will shut off like it should and the light will come on like it should. Then while the door is still open the evaporator fan will come back on then shut off again. I also noticed when I open either door and the lights inside don't come on the green light on the on the dispenser controls (on the outside of the freezer door) is also out as well the temp control numbers on the inside of the fridge side. Basically, if I notice the little green light out on the dispenser control ( on the freezer door ) if I open either door I have no interior lights or numbers on the temp control settings. Then sometimes all of the lights and numbers will work fine. The fridge and freezer work fine except for the light issue and the evaporator fan cycling off and on with the freezer door open. Does this sound like a control board problem? Thanks
1 Answer Brian, It would be recommended to test the door switches on the unit to ensure that they are good and if they are then it sounds likely the control board would be the issue. Read More...

Bonny S. December 11, 2019 for Model Number GZS22DMJBFES I am having the same issue with the flashing lights, clicking, not working properly, etc. Ours is about 4 years old and of course, my extended warranty is out. With this being a well-known issue is the cost of the repair or parts covered by GE? Was there a recall for this issue? So far I do not see that question answered. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Bonny, I'm sorry but since we are not the manufacturer, we do not have any answers pertaining to any recalls or compensation for repairs. Checking for service bulletins, nothing was found pertaining to a manufacturing issue causing this complaint. IT would appear that the mainboard will need to be replaced and it would be advisable to verify correct polarity in the outlet that the unit is plugged into in case this is a contributing factor. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Thomas October 31, 2019 for Model Number PFS22SISBSS About 8 years ago I had a motherboard replaced. WR55X10942P. Then the refrigerator was not cooling like before so I order another motherboard. I'm trying to replace it. Are the pins on the top or first row. The first pins (4) on the left side I have a wired connection from the refrigerator that I took off and now replacing it. I'm not sure if the other end 4 pins where it was connected or if it doesn't get connected at all?
1 Answer Hello Thomas, Other than the manufacturer changing the design of the board and the connections not being in the exact same places as they originally were, there is no difference in the board in the sense of wiring. All connectors will be wired to the connections as labeled regardless of their new locations. Read More...
