Hi John. I apologize as my breakdown does not supply me with specific Zener diode information. With the previous spec's you provided, this was the best I could do. I was just trying to help because sometimes you get what you pay for and I was hoping in all honesty that this kit would help. Keep in mind that newer dishwashers do not come with diodes. My opinion is that you might have a pinched wire at the lower part of the door where it opens and closes with the door. Access the inner door area (remove the inner door panel), and investigate the wire harness as it passes under the door and to the frame. There might be a pinched or shorted wire in that area. Thank -you.

Hi John. We have a zener diode kit part # 102-003. G.E. has the same part number for your water valve part # WD15X10003. You need to replace both parts as mentioned before. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Think I mighta found it! The question of the day is,the diode that's shown in the wiring diagram (looks like is's on the solenoid, but it's actually integrated into the wiring!) is a Zener. Should it read like a normal diode? I'm showing .8 ohms both ways! And how can I get a replacement?? Hi John . Yes, it seems like your diode is reading true. A regular diode will only read one way if they are good. If you can send us the specific specifications on the diode (voltage, amps. ) then i can look in our parts list and find one that should work. The water valve is part # WD15X10003. Thank- you.

Hi John. There is something either blown, or shorted with your unit. The power normally First goes through your door switch, then to your flood switch to allow your water valve to first fill your unit. If you can remove your inner door panel and take a peak at your control board, you might find the issue there. Are there any shorted wires at the bottom of your unit since mice seem to be attracted to water areas and will chew on wires shorting them out. It seems like you are possibly at the need of a certified technician that you can find in your local yellow pages. If you can find your wiring diagram either in your toe kick panel or at the control panel area, then this might help. Thank you.

Reference to the last answer I received from the expert. The flood switch blows immediately when power is applied, and the "Start" button is pressed. By "Blowing the flood switch", i mean that you actually hear an audible "POP"! As I have removed the unit from my kitchen and have it back in my garage, I'm going to bypass the switch with a circuit breaker, and attempt more troubleshooting. Everything ohms out good...even the solenoid (water in), so, I guess my work is cut out for me! Yes, the harness has been checked....the only thing I haven't tried is going back to the original water in solenoid, as that was the very first item I replaced (New from the manufacturer). Even though it ohms out, Impedance is another story. Guess the next obvious question is...could it have anything to do with the keyboard? Thanks for showing interest...this failure IS a dozy!

Hi John. If You are referring to the over-flow switch, then shut off breaker (in your breaker panel) for safety. Then make sure your tub overflow switch wires are isolated and not shorting out. Make sure they are tight on the switch terminals also. It would make better sense now possibly your water valve coil is shorted. The water valve part # is WD15X10003. The overflow switch part # is WD12X10151.Thank you.

John, What do you mean by "blowing the Flood Switch ? How long does it take before it fails ? Have you checked the wiring harness in the door, or at the control board, especially at the hinge assembly, where the harness passes from the bottom of the door to the bottom tub assembly. Good Luck, and Thanks.

Hello John. You will need to check and see if there is water leaking at the flood switch. If so, this could be caused by to much soap being used. Try reducing the amount of soap being used and see if it helps. If there are alot of soap suds, it can leak out of the float assembly. Hope this helps.
