The Door Boot Seal is an OEM part for GE washing machines. This seal is positioned around the door opening of front-load washers, creating a watertight barrier that prevents water from leaking during wash cycles. It also helps to reduce noise and vibration, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.

Over time, the door boot seal can deteriorate due to constant exposure to water, detergent, and the high temperatures of washing cycles. If the seal becomes damaged, it can lead to leaks, mold growth, and decreased washing performance.

Symptoms of a bad door boot seal include:

  • Water leaking from the front of the washer
  • Mold or mildew buildup on the seal
  • Unpleasant odors from the washer
  • Visible tears, cracks, or warping of the seal

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

For the door boot to tub clamp order WH01X10277. For the door boot to front spring clamp order WH01X10279.

Hello Micky, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the verified model number from your units' I.D. tag. The model number provided does not come up as a valid model number. Also, if you could please specify if there is a drain in the bottom of the boot, this will also help pinpoint the part needed for your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Hello Pete, If there is no tear in the door boot, as per the manufacturer, the unit could have been oversoaped or there could be hair present on the door glass where the boot contacts it. These are the only things that can make the door boot leak with no rips present.

Bob, You shouldn't need any additional parts if the door boot seal is torn. You do want to make sure you clean up any residual water in/on the base and components. Make sure you remove power to the machine before you start anything, and you should do fine.
