Hello Kathy, If the seal is still intact it can be reattached using High Temperature Adhesive WPY055980. If not, it W10612022 will have to be replaced. If you have to replace it, the adhesive comes with the new seal and will not have to be ordered separately.

Luke, You will want to check the drum glide WE03X10007 to make sure that the glide is not damaged as this would cause the screeching noise. The felt seal part number is WE09X10013 for the upper and the lower is part number WE09X10014. These come with the adhesive.

Hello Nikki, As long as there isn't a large enough gap for clothing to become stuck in the opening, this should be fine until the new part arrives.

Hello Mihran, The lower seal on this machine clips onto the front air duct assembly and adhesive is not required. The issue of the squealing noise can be caused by one of two different issues. (1) The bearing slides WE03X37318, and WE03X37317, and possibly the slide holder (dryer drum front support bearing) WE3M26, can be worn down which causes the drum to "tilt" forward. This causes the rear of the drum to actually contact the heating element. (2) The rear drum bearing assembly can be worn and/or the grounding strap can make the sound. WARNING: Do not simply remove the strap. This strap shown on the right on the part illustration WE25M40, is necessary to ground the drum. If it is removed, the unit will still operate but if the drum contacts the heating element, the breaker will not be tripped and when you reach in to load/unload the unit, 120Vac can be on the drum and a serious electrical shock can be recieved. This can kill or seriously injure you. You are better off to apply a small amount of grease to the grounding strap to quieten the sound and keep the drum grounded.
