Terrence January 05, 2012 for Model Number Wjrr4170gww The model number on my ge hydowave washer is worn off from my wife constantly wiping it off. I pulled the timmer knob off and found a model number on the backsplash asm. Underneath the timer knob plate I found this model number and have been using it to order my parts. WJRR4170GWW. I have ordered the mode shift shaft assy using this number. I was wondering if the drum mounting hub, Part #WH45x10027 would fit the bottom of my basket/tub. My old one is pretty worn due to the basket wobling around/loose. Any help is highly apreciated.
1 Answer Hi Terrence. The correct basket that comes with the hub assy. is part # WH45X10060. The one you asked about is part # WH45X10027. It measures approx. 13" diameter. You are welcome to try it and return it if it does not work. Thank You. Read More...
Rich December 04, 2011 for Model Number wwSE5200B1ww I had to replace the hub and reassembled everything back the way it was. It filled with water and then nothing , It just stopped..No agitator, so I advanced it to spin cycle and it emptied the water but did not spin. Does this sound like an electrical problem or possibly transmission ?
1 Answer Hi Rich. Did you plug the lid switch back onto the wire harness. If so then you need the lid switch part # WH12X10141. Thank You. Read More...

Joe E. July 22, 2011 Washer was running and smelled like something burning. Drum did not spin. I took off the agitator and found that the hub was broken. This being the case does anyone know what might have caused the burning smell?
1 Answer Hello Joe. Check and see if the belt WH1X2026 on the washer is burnt. If so, that is where the smell was coming from. What the hub broke, it could bind the tubs and burn the belt. Hope this helps. Read More...
Kevin P. April 07, 2011 for Model Number WJSE4150B1WW Hi, yes the washer was clicking. I was hoping by cleaning it up that would help. Does the spring on the brake get weak after time. This is a washer that had been setting out side for some time.was like a free be. OK, thanks again
1 Answer Hello Kevin! Take the front panel off and try to isolate where the clicking noise is coming from. There is a slight chance it could be in the transmission WH38X10002 or the clutch WH5X256. Read More...
Kevin P. April 06, 2011 for Model Number WJSE4150B1WW Thanks for the answer. On the same washer I have put it all back together, but during agitation there is a loud clicking, its very annoying. When the spin stops and the brakes apply the clicking is back. Is it a bad brake? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Kevin! Was the washer making the clicking noise before you disassembled the appliance? If it wasn't you may want to go back and make sure that everything was installed properly on the washer. Make sure that nothing is hitting against anything causing a clicking noise. Hope this helps! Kevin P. April 01, 2011 for Model Number WJSE4150B1WW I Had to remove the hub from the inner basket because there was a lot of stuff collecting between the basket and hub. the question, what kind of adhesive is put between the two. Does it need to be water tight? or just enough to keep debri from getting between the two.
1 Answer Kevin, No, there is no seal or gasket to be used between the tub and hub assemblies, I wouldn't reccomend attempting to use anything either. Provided you properly torque the hub(75 ft. lbs.) there should be nothing to be concerned with. Thanks, and Good Luck Read More...
