The Infinite Heat Switch Kit is an OEM part for GE ranges and cooktops. This kit is essential for controlling the temperature of the burners on your range or cooktop, allowing you to adjust the heat level from low to high.

Causes of damage to the infinite heat switch can include normal wear and tear from frequent use, electrical issues such as short circuits or power surges, and physical damage from cleaning or impact.

Symptoms of a bad Infinite Heat Switch include:

  • Burners not heating to the desired temperature, either staying too hot or not getting hot enough.
  • The burner not turning on at all, indicating a possible failure in the switch's electrical contacts or circuit.
  • Inconsistent cooking temperatures, where the burner cycles on and off too frequently or not often enough, affecting cooking performance.

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Hello Sandy. There should be H1,H2,L1,L2,and P on the switch. They do not list an Hc on the switch. Check to see if the terminal is actually H2 and it didn't get stamped good. Thank you.

John, If you look at the back of the original switch there will be lettering that will be L1, L2, P, H1 and H2. You will move the wire from L1 and place on the new switch to position P2, The L2 wire will go to position P1, The P wire will go to position Pilot, the H1 wire will go to position 4 and the H2 wire will go to position 2. It does not matter the coloring of the wires but will matter terminal to terminal.

Ron, The knob for this unit 4363811 has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no replacement available. There is a Universal kit but has a thermostat knob in it without the 5th burner knob. You could get 2 of them to make a set and have a couple left over. The infinite switch for this unit will be part number W10900107.

Greg, The new switch should have a P1, P2, Pilot, 4 and 2 on the back of it. The L2 (Red) will go to P1, The L1 (Black) will go to P2, P (Yellow wire) will go to the Pilot, You will then have 2 of either a blue, brown, yellow, and orange that on original will attach to H1 to H2 and these will go to 4 and 2 on the new switch.

Jolas for Model Number JBP48W A4WW

I´ve ordered and received the infinite switch replacement kit WB21X5243 to replace the bad switch WB21X226 My question is about the instructions included in the GE package: If the switch on the product looks like Switch A, it will be replaced with the enclosed Switch B, following the directions below: The problem I have is that the switch on the product (range) looks like Switch A (on the instructions) not like Switch B (on the instructions); how do I replace the Switch A with the "enclosed" switch B? There is no "enclosed" switch B. The enclosed switch looks (again) like the Switch A. By the way, this switch controls the 8" heating element on my range. Am I making any sense?? Thank you. Jolas
