John September 28, 2019 for Model Number JVM1460BA001 One of the cooktop lights burned out. In replacing it the bulb broke from the base. After removing the base and replacing the bulb neither cooktop light worked. Is there a fuse that may have burned out? The microwave still works other than those two lights.
1 Answer John, there are one of two possibilities that may have occurred. The first possibility would be that the main control WB27X10132 lamp relay may have been damaged and would need to be replaced. This can be tested by testing for 120VAC going to the lamps when the lamp button is activated. If there is not 120VAC going to the lights, then the main control would need to be tested for outgoing voltage. If there is not voltage, then the main control has failed. If there is 120VAC, then the 2nd possibility has occurred and there is a broken wire. The broken wire would need to be traced to find where it has failed, and then repaired as necessary. Unfortunately, if the main control has failed, it has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. Read More...

Barry December 04, 2018 I was removing the bulb and the other bulb burned out as I unscrewed it. The exhaust fan also stopped working. Could the light and fan be connected? Any ideas? Everything else works on it. jvm3160dfwfww
1 Answer Hello Barry, This is most likely an issue with the control board. The power should be disconnected from the unit before replacing the bulbs and any other service. I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to please post a new question including the verified model number from the units' I.D. tag since the one provided will not come up for us as a valid model number. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Priya February 16, 2018 for Model Number JVM1190Wy003 I realize this model is no longer in production. The cooktop light located on the bottom of the microwave(and just above my stovetop) burnt out and I'm looking for the right bulb replacement. I thought bulb WB02X4253 was the right bulb but also not available. Any suggestions?
Tom H December 28, 2017 My GE under the counter microwave utilizes the 130 v bulbs. The microwave works fine. The bulbs burn out frequently (every couple of weeks). What causes these frequent burn outs?
1 Answer Tom, You will want to check to see if the power supply getting to the bulbs are ok as this will be the most likely cause for the bulbs to burn out frequently. Read More...
