Fatherkral February 26, 2016 for Model Number JVM1651AB003 My microware has started making a louder noise after starting and there is an electrical smell like something is burning. The cup of coffee I was trying to heat was still cold. I am now longer using. Please let me know what you think the problems is. Thanks!
1 Answer Fatherkral, With the unit being noisier and having a electrical odor, the most likely cause for this issue will be that the diode has failed. The part number for the diode is WB27X1160. Read More...
Annie February 23, 2015 for Model Number JES1358WL01 What is the magnetron part # for my microwave model # JES1358WL01?
Tom February 04, 2015 for Model Number JVM1660WH01 2 questions please: 1. Based on symptoms - loud buzzing noise + dimming internal/display light, does it sound like a bad megnetron? The light goes back to normal and buzzing stops when press STOP/CANCEL. All other features work (surface light, vent, timer, etc). Don't know if oven cooks/heats because affraid to let it run longer due to the noise. 2. Also, if it is the magnetron, is it really necessary to replace the whole kit, or just the Magnetron will do? Price of Magnetron is half of the entire kit." Thank you. Tom
1 Answer Hello Tom. You will need to replace the magnetron WB27X10735 and diode WB27X1160 on the unit. Read More...
Tom January 31, 2015 for Model Number JVM1660WH I have GE Spacemaker JVM1660WH. I need to replace the Magnetron. It appears there are several sub-models of JVM1660WH - 01, 02, 03 ,04. The sticker on my unit is not legible anymore and I can not tell if it is 01, 02, 03 or 04. It is definitely JVM1660WH. Can the Magnetron be different for different sub-models? What is correct part # Magnetron for my model? Is it really necessary to replace the whole kit, or just the Magnetron will do? Price of Magnetron is half of the entire kit. Thanks in advance, Tom
1 Answer Tom, the magnetron is the same for the JVM1660WH* models, part number WB27X10735. Thanks! Read More...
Sam October 25, 2014 for Model Number JVM1650CH03 When I look up the Magnetron by model number (JVM1650CH03) I get AP2026042 for the part number. Since this is a different number and cost much more than the kit you sell, is it the correct part and does it require the diode and stirrer ass'y too? Or will this kit with the magnetron, diode, and stirrer work for my model, JVM1650CH03?
1 Answer Sam, based on the model number given the replacement magnetron is part number WB27X10735. It does not include the diode part number WB27X1160 or the stirrer assembly part number WB06X10416. You should be able to keep the existing parts on your unit unless defective now. We can not recommend that the magnetron assy part number WB49X10226 will work on your unit, sorry. Thank you for your inquiry. Read More...
Peter October 04, 2013 for Model Number JMV1650BB-002 All of the timers and buttons work but it started to smell like burnt wiring and no longer heated. It also made a louder corse noise. Does this sound like the magnatron?
1 Answer Peter, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a bad diode or a bad transformer. You will want to check the diode for cracks or breaks and if you test it and it checks ok then the transformer is most likely bad. Read More...
Ken A October 01, 2013 for Model Number jvm1660bb 003 I've received magnetron stir kit part wb49x10226. My question has to do with the fact that included are TWO diodes. My 13 year old microwave has only ONE diode connected to the capacitor. How should I replace my ONE diode with the TWO you sent? Thanks. Ken Arnold
1 Answer Ken, The magnetron kit comes with an extra diode just incase one of the diodes blow for some reason. Read More...

Gene May 24, 2013 I have a GE microwave oven model jvm1650wb002 that does not have power to heat. Everything else looks ok. I checked the fuse and it was ok. I replaced the HV diode but still no power but the noise has stopped when I turned the unit on. Is it the magnetron. Where is it located and how do I remove the magnetron.
1 Answer Gene, To access the Magnetron, you will need to pull the unit from installation and remove the outer cabinet. Once removed the magnetron will be a square silver box with fins inside it. Check to make sure that the magnet is not cracked or broken. Also check the resistance of the magnetron which should be approximately .5 ohms of resistance. Read More...
Roybr99 March 16, 2013 for Model Number jvm1661sb001 My unit stopped heating and making a louder humming noise. Everything I have read points to the megnetron and diode. I don't know what magnetron to buy, there is two listed. Which one please?
