Jim March 03, 2012 for Model Number GE GLD6760N20SS So how do you detach the impeller assembly from the old motor if you are going to order a new 310 (motor) in the diagram. You answered in the previous question that I needed a new motor so I am looking at the impeller and the white plastic casing of the pump. There seems no way to get it apart without breaking everything ?
1 Answer Hi Jim. 1. Hold motor shaft, remove the old cutter. 2. Remove the suction ring by rotating clockwise (has a left hand thread) and discard. 3. Remove the wear ring retainer and discard. 3. Remove the wear ring retainer and the wear ring. Discard both parts. Impeller / Seal kit part # WD19X10038. Thank You. Read More...
Paul March 02, 2012 for Model Number GE GLD5750N00CS The dishwasher "works" except there is not enough pressure to clean the dishes. The internal rotating spinners do not spin. I know this because I placed them all in the same direction and run the unit for a few minutes and they all were exactly in the same place. This could not have been dumb luck three times in a row. Do you think I need a new main motor pump assembly?
1 Answer Hello Paul. Make sure the water is filling properly and the filters in the sump assembly are clean. If the water is low, replace the water valve. If not, and the motor does not pump the water, you will need to replace the motor assembly WD26X10053. Hope this helps. Read More...
Jim B. February 29, 2012 for Model Number GE GLD6760N20SS My motor will not start itself in the wash cycle. When I spin it, it takes off and does just fine. I took the washer apart and found some debris (paper and hair?) and pulled it out and the motor took right off after reassembly but then the very next time it would not start by itself again. What do you suggest?
1 Answer Hello Jim. Based on the information you provided, the motor and pump assembly WD26X10053 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
Nicolas February 12, 2012 for Model Number gnld681n10ww When reassembling the motor-pump assembly, the connector to bring power to the motor has two pins, one with a blue wire and one with a couple of wires. It can be connected both ways. Which is the right way?
1 Answer Hello Nicolas. According to the diagram, the wires can be hooked either way to the motor and pump assembly WD26X10053. Hope this helps. Read More...
Brian October 27, 2011 for Model Number pdw7880j10ss Dishwasher fills and emptys, but intermittently the motor will run. If I open the door when the motor should be running, and advance the motor a bit and then close the door the motor seems to work, then die again.
1 Answer Hello Brian. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the mechanism WD26X10053 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...

Jack September 09, 2011 for Model Number GHDA 485N00CS Made sure all lines were clear, filter cleaned, and put a test meter on the lines going to the drain pump right before they go in to the pump. It was getting power when it was at the drain cycle, so I plugged the wires back in to the pump, closed the door to start the washer back up and the pump worked! Pushed the washer back in and hooked up the water lines, tried to run a load of dishes, and the drain pump would not work! I'm at a loss.
1 Answer Hello Jack. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the pump assembly WD26X10053 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Jack September 08, 2011 for Model Number GHDA 485N00CS Is there a solenoid on this pump to drain the water also? Pump is working to wash dishes, but water will not drain.
1 Answer Hello Jack. No, based on the model number you provided, you will check for clogs and debris in the pump and drain hose. If all is clear, you will replace the drain pump assembly WD26X22719. This dishwasher uses two motors, one for cycle, and one for drain. Hope this helps. Read More...
Rex July 26, 2011 for Model Number GLD445ON10CS Is this part I need? Machine does not do wash cycle, does all others.
1 Answer Hi Rex. Is the control panel flashing anything,(codes)? If your control panel buttons are stuck, then you can accessthe key board behind the panel and see if the wash cycle will work by pressing the button itself. The control panel is part # WD34X11275. The board is part # WD21X10247. Thank you. Read More...
Chet June 28, 2011 for Model Number ghda486n10ss Washer cycles through, but no water gets sprayed through arms, etc. This seems to be fault of pump not coming on. Water comes in, timer runs, water gets pumped out. Is there a solenoid that might be stuck/malfunctioning that I could replace before buying the whole assembly? It stopped working for several tries, but suddenly did work for two washes! Then, next day, nothing! Seems to me more likely a switch problem. What do you think?
1 Answer Hello Chet. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the motor assembly WD26X10053. If there is power there, but the motor does not run, you will need to replace the motor. If there is no power to the motor during the wash cycle, you will need to replace the control board WD21X10247. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
