Confused March 16, 2020 for Model Number GSHS6HGDBCSS If I remove the water filter and replace it with the bypass plug the refrigerator will no longer dispense water. What could be causing this? And yes it is the correct bypass plug.
1 Answer Confused, if placing the filter back in allows water to flow again, either the plug WR17X22070 is not activating the filter head WR02X45206 (inspecting the bypass plug threading for any damage would be necessary), or the filter head has something preventing the plug from inserting all the way (will need to inspect the filter head). I am looking for a water filter bypass to fit but cannot find crossover part numbers. I found online, a couple units that look correct, but the numbers they gave for the parts don't cross over.Seems as though they come pre-installed on a new unit, but mine did not seem to. Thanks
