Matt for Model Number PSS25SGNA

I am not getting any water to the ice maker or water dispenser in the door. I have run a line through all of the hoses I can reach and nothing appears to be clogged. There is no water in the resevoir assembly. Nothing is frozen. The damper was recently replaced because of freezing temperatures in the food section. I have replaced the water filter and the water control valve with zero improvement. Is the next step to replace the water filter head?

1 Answer

Matt, If the water tank is not frozen and all the lines are clear then the water filter head and tube assembly WR02X45206 would be the necessary part to replace.

Nephtali for Model Number GSS25SGMD BS

I have a GE refrigerator model GSS25SGMD BS. Everything was working fine until I changed the Smartwater filter with an OEM replacement. No water when pressing the dispenser. Even when the old filter was installed again, still no water was dispensed. Also, I noticed a leaking in the water filter head assembly (where the filter is installed). The filter head assembly have a black notch that is leaking. I shut off the water supply from the house to the fridge to stop the dripping of the head assembly. Should the water filter head be replaced?

1 Answer

Nephtali, The water filter head would need to be replaced due to the leaking. For the dispenser door not dispensing water you will want to pull the lower grill on the refrigerator and disconnect the lines. Press the dispenser with set to water and see if water comes out. If so then you have a frozen water line in the freezer door. There is a heater that you would want to get for this issue which is part number WR49X10173.

Hello Brian, This is located in the top rear of the fresh food section of the unit. When you open the fresh food door it will be at the top on the right. The filter mounts to it.

Yannik for Model Number GE pss25sgnabs

What part I have to order filter head and tube or valve kit. Just bought house and have a GE PSS25SGNABS fridge working good but water and ice not working. I put a new genuine water filter same things. I tryed something behind the refrigerator I have two clear pipe come from the top behind the water filter and one go to valves and other water line in. I switch it to see and its work now, makes ice and have water but its make noise when I take water or make ice. Do you think its the valves kit or other things from filter area (the noise come from filter area).

1 Answer

Hello Yannik, This would be a filter head and tubing issue. When you reversed the lines, you switched the way that the water is flowing through the filter head. This is what is causing the noise that the unit is making. You will want to replace the filter head and tubing assembly WR02X45206.
