For Ge Range Bake Element (Part Number: OEM6093000)

Tony for Model Number JBP79WOB4WW ???

My reciept from the store where I bought this oven says the mod. # is JBP79WBWW. The tag under the bottom drawer says JBP79WOB4WW and says its KW 8.3 after the Mod. #, and KW 11.0 after the serial number. Also a different web sight given to me by my local home improvment store list the part number for the bake element (says its a manufactureer number) for my stove as WB44T10014. Just wanting to know if WB44T10011 is the same part or will it work for my GE Profile Spectra Oven.

Martha, With the bake element being broken, this will cause the unit to not cook properly. You will want to replace the bake element WB44T10011 as you cannot replace individual pieces.

Loretta, The first thing you will want to check is for power at the receptacle of unit. You should have 240 vac at the power outlet. If you have proper power at the outlet, you will then want to check for power at the terminal block. There should be 240 vac. This will be a matter of tracing your power from the outlet to the clock and top burners.

Nelson, It is possible that the element WB44X5082 is bad but to check you can do a voltage test. If you check across the terminals of the element with unit turned to bake you should have 240 vac. If not then you would want to check the clock to make sure that it is sending power to the element. If there is power then the element is bad and would need to be replace. On the clock you would check from L1 to Bake for 240 vac.
