Hello Eli! Unfortunately, we do not have the specs listed available of each item to verify the differences. According to the cross references you can use either one. It may however, take some adjustments but will work. Thanks!

Phil for Model Number 911.3042992

We have a sears gas wall oven and recently went to bake in the oven and noticed that it would not heat up regardless of the temperature setting. The broiler works fine either in the HI or LO mode and the igniter glows. According to the parts manual both of the igniters have the same part numbers. Does the oven have to be pulled out from the wall to replace either igniter. I noticed that regardless of the temperature setting for the oven it will default to 100 degrees for a couple of minutes then shut off. Is this an indication that it is the igniter is the problem. Thank You

Nancy, You will first want to check to make sure that the ignitor continues to glow when the flames has shut off. You can test the resistance of the ignitor using a volt-ohm meter set to Rx 100. The resistance should be between 50 and 150 ohms. Measure resistance of the gas valve fromm terminal to terminal across the valve. The normal resistance is 3 to 5 ohms. If not within range replace the valve.

Richard, The WB2X9154 "round" oven igniter will require a 120 VAC 60 HZ. polarized and grounded circuit. The igniter will need to draw 2.8 to 3.0 amps, in order to open the safety halve and ignite a burner. You might be better served to use a 12400035 "flat" style igniter, They are a more "common" type igniter and somewhat easily available. The power rating is the same,120 vac 60 hz, polarized and grounded outlet, but draws 3.2 to 3.6 amps in order to open the safety valve, and like before, more readily available. .

De, The first place that you would want to check would be the oven ignitor WB2X9154. Check it for breaks or cracks. You can also do a voltage check the oven safety valve to ensure that it is getting 3.2 to 3.6 vac. If it is not getting proper power it will not open and this would be caused by a bad ignitor.

Hello Frank, The part you were looking at WB2X9154 is a satisfactory replacement part for this application. There is another satisfactory substitute that will work with no difference except the purchase price. The part number is TJ90SGR403.

Hello Ken, You will want to check the continuity of the ignitor to make sure that the ignitor is reading continuity. If it is not then the ignitor is bad. You will also want to check to make sure that the power coming to glow bar is 120 vac by checking from L1 to chassis ground with unit in bake mode. If you do not have 120 vac then you will need to check power back to supply.
