Eli March 12, 2013 for Model Number JGBP35GXA1WW What is the difference between part WB2X9154 and part ERGR403? Can I use either one?
1 Answer Hello Eli! Unfortunately, we do not have the specs listed available of each item to verify the differences. According to the cross references you can use either one. It may however, take some adjustments but will work. Thanks! Read More...
Phil March 10, 2013 for Model Number 911.3042992 We have a sears gas wall oven and recently went to bake in the oven and noticed that it would not heat up regardless of the temperature setting. The broiler works fine either in the HI or LO mode and the igniter glows. According to the parts manual both of the igniters have the same part numbers. Does the oven have to be pulled out from the wall to replace either igniter. I noticed that regardless of the temperature setting for the oven it will default to 100 degrees for a couple of minutes then shut off. Is this an indication that it is the igniter is the problem. Thank You
1 Answer Hello Phil. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Bob Cottrell March 09, 2013 for Model Number JGP33WEH3WW Need igniter for this oven. What is the part number and is there a replacment?
1 Answer Bob, The model number listed is for a cooktop and we would need the model number for the wall oven. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Nancy March 07, 2013 for Model Number jgrs14gep Oven will not lite. When i try to lite broiler it will fire up for about 30 second then go out. ignitor?
1 Answer Nancy, You will first want to check to make sure that the ignitor continues to glow when the flames has shut off. You can test the resistance of the ignitor using a volt-ohm meter set to Rx 100. The resistance should be between 50 and 150 ohms. Measure resistance of the gas valve fromm terminal to terminal across the valve. The normal resistance is 3 to 5 ohms. If not within range replace the valve. Read More...
Noel March 05, 2013 for Model Number JGP40BEC2WH Broiler works but the Bake mode does not ignite. Oven is about 10 years old. when I set the dial to any heat range the red light; Oven On lights up but the oven wont fire up. Is this the ingiter?

Richard March 02, 2013 for Model Number NA re: GE WB2X9154 gas igniter. What is the voltage and current required for this item? I am building an outdoor barbecue and need something like this. thanks in advance.
1 Answer Richard, The WB2X9154 "round" oven igniter will require a 120 VAC 60 HZ. polarized and grounded circuit. The igniter will need to draw 2.8 to 3.0 amps, in order to open the safety halve and ignite a burner. You might be better served to use a 12400035 "flat" style igniter, They are a more "common" type igniter and somewhat easily available. The power rating is the same,120 vac 60 hz, polarized and grounded outlet, but draws 3.2 to 3.6 amps in order to open the safety valve, and like before, more readily available. . Read More...
Bill February 27, 2013 for Model Number JGBP79WEA2WW The oven and broiler don't work. All the burners on cook top work fine. When I select any temperature and push start it stays at 100 deg no gas sound. I have power on the control.

De February 26, 2013 for Model Number JGBP30WEA5WW My oven and range top was working great up until last Friday when the oven stopped heating. The broiler works fine as does the range top. What part do I need to replace please? I'm assuming I need a new igniter sensor.
1 Answer De, The first place that you would want to check would be the oven ignitor WB2X9154. Check it for breaks or cracks. You can also do a voltage check the oven safety valve to ensure that it is getting 3.2 to 3.6 vac. If it is not getting proper power it will not open and this would be caused by a bad ignitor. 1 Answer Hello Frank, The part you were looking at WB2X9154 is a satisfactory replacement part for this application. There is another satisfactory substitute that will work with no difference except the purchase price. The part number is TJ90SGR403. Read More...
Ken February 19, 2013 for Model Number GE-JGBP29SEJ1SS Top burners work. Broiler ignites. Bake igniter does not. I do not have any amperage on bake igniter. Is igniter bad or could it be something else. Please advise.
1 Answer Hello Ken, You will want to check the continuity of the ignitor to make sure that the ignitor is reading continuity. If it is not then the ignitor is bad. You will also want to check to make sure that the power coming to glow bar is 120 vac by checking from L1 to chassis ground with unit in bake mode. If you do not have 120 vac then you will need to check power back to supply. Read More...
