1 Answer Hello Dennis. You will need to look and see if you see the mounting screws for the oven sensor WB21X5301 inside the oven cavity. If so, remove the screws and pull the wire out of the oven. Unplug the wire and plug the new sensor in. If there are no screws inside the oven, you will need to remove the back panel to access and replace the oven sensor. Hope this helps. Read More...
Dennis N. July 25, 2011 for Model Number jgbp79gev4bb Before I order, can I test my oven temperature sensor? I keep getting a error code f-3 while cooking.
1 Answer Hello Dennis. Yes, you can test the oven sensor WB21X5301. It should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature and around 1650 ohms at 350°. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Debbie June 26, 2011 for Model Number JGBP24BEA1WH Only the broiler is working in our G.E. gas range. How can we tell if the igniter is out or the bake relay? Also, are there two igniters. It appears to have only one and since the broiler is working it makes sense to us that it must be the bake relay? Right or wrong? Thanks!
1 Answer Hi Debbie. The range has 2 separate oven igniter. Since the broiler is working, then it is ok. The bake igniter part # is WB2X9154. It is very common that the igniter usually gets weak and 'opens' so current wont flow. If you cannot see a visible crack (in the middle), then unless you use a amprobe to measure the current flow on the safety valve, then reasonable deduction is a bad igniter. Thank-you Read More...
