Kent L. May 11, 2011 for Model Number 9114652091 The fault code F2 comes up with a beeping signal when the oven isn't being used. Several websites point to the oven sensor. I disconnected it and measured the resistance. I had about 200 ohms. I haven't measured the oven temperature, but I think it is fine. At least everything gets baked. Is the oven sensor the most logical problem?
1 Answer Hello Kent! Here is the information from our error code information: 1. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC). 2. For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation. 3. Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective. Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven temperature Hope this information helps! Read More...
Bill B April 11, 2011 for Model Number JKP26GOV1BB Upper Broiler works but upper bake oven will not heat. When temp is set to 300,for example, the reading will go back to reading 100 after about 20 seconds. Both Broiler & Bake work in the lower oven. Is this a temperature sensor or an electronic problem?
1 Answer Hello Bill. You will need to test the bake element WB44K5013 and see if it is good. It should read closed for continuity. If it is good, you will need to test the relay on the clock assembly and see if it is sending voltage to the bake element. If not, you will need to replace the clock WB27K5190. Hope this helps. Arthur March 31, 2011 for Model Number JB940WY 2 ww This is my mom's oven. It gives a f-3 fault when you try to turn oven on, after a few minutes it will give you a f-2 fault. I took temp probe out and ohmed, had 114kohms. I added heat to probe and ohms came down to 10kohms, let cool and ohms go back up. Is this the problem or do I have another problem? When I cycle the power on the oven, and try to turn it on, the fan in the oven turns for 1/2 second then I get the fault f-3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Arthur
1 Answer Hello Arthur. According to the codes and the readings you posted, you will need to change the oven sensor. Hope this helps. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Jagger. Remove the screws holding the sensor in place. Then unplug the old sensor, and install the new one. Hope this helps. Read More...
Brian March 27, 2011 for Model Number 362.75321003 My oven will light and achieve set temp but may or may not maintain the set temp. the oven often will cool completely without re igniting but a manual increase to the set point on the control(5-10 degrees), the oven will ignite and achieve the new setpoint. Control? or Sensor?
1 Answer Hello Brian. Two main possibilities that could cause the problem that you are describing. The temperature sensor part number WB21X5301 or the electronic control part number WB27K10141. Hope this helps Read More...

Dennis March 08, 2011 GE oven #jgbp79wew1ww. Temperature set point and actual oven temp. is about 100 degrees off. Oven temp. is way higher. Oven sensor assembly sounds like what I need?
1 Answer Hello Dennis. Yes, if the oven temperatures are off, it is recommened to change the sensor. Hope this helps. Read More...
