Liang December 11, 2012 for Model Number GSS22SGRBSS Hi, My water dispenser tube that runs through the freezer door is leaking and I want to replace one. I checked the diameter for this tube should be 5/16 and this tube WR17X2891 looks identical to the tube I wanted to replace. But this tube WR17X2891 does not seems to be compatible with the model number I presented. Please adivse: 1. the length of this tube 2. whether I could go ahead to buy this tube as replacement for my water dispenser tube that runs through the freezer door. Thanks Liang
1 Answer Hello Liang, The water tube that runs through the freezer door is foamed in place and cannot be pulled out to replace. You would have to replace the freezer door WR78X11098 on the unit if the water line is broken inside door.. Read More...
Chuck September 07, 2012 for Model Number 363.57552791 ice maker stop working.I replaced dual water valve, how long will it take to find out if that was the problem. the led light stays solid, and i do get water from the water dispenser.
1 Answer Chuck, It usually takes a couple of hours for the ice maker to cycle, and clear the remaining air and water from the system. You may want to start the icemaker yourself. You can remove the cover and slowly and carefully turn the main gear in the clockwise direction, until it starts to advance on it's own. or you can press down on the ejector / rake arm until it starts to advance. You'll want to let it make a few more cycles, then throw the cubes out. Which red light are you describing ? on the dispenser ? Read More...
Anatoly July 26, 2012 for Model Number TFX28PBBGWW Have no water coming from the water dispenser. After removing cover, from the back side of refrigerator,I found that one plastic tube is broken. Short piece of it still connected to the valve and rest of tube on the bottom left side(if you look from the back side) is going to somewhere, but cann't see where. Please, give me some advices: How to replace whole line with new tube and where to look for another end?,Is plastic tube - Item Number: AP2065182- correct for this application?,How to remove piece of tube from the valve, without damaging it? Thank you.
1 Answer Anatoly, The tube from the fill valve, goes to the water tank WR17X4358 inside the fridge, behind the crisper drawers and lower shelves, from the tank to the water filter head assembly WR17X10452 and from the filter head to the dispenser. To remove the remainig tube from the fill valve, you'll need to press in on the "collar"(the plastic ring that surrounds the tube) and pull out on the tube at the same time. Read More...
Teresa June 30, 2012 for Model Number TFS25PPBGBS My water tank dispenser has come loose from the attachment to the back wall. In addition, my water and ice in the door do not stop when the pressure pad is released. The water continues to flow for about 2 to 3 seconds after release. Same with the ice. Are these two things connected problems. Is it a gravity issue? If not, what would cause the pressure pad to have a delay after release?
1 Answer Hello Teresa. Yes, this can cause the issue you are having due to air pockets getting into the tank. You will need to remount the tank to the back wall of the unit. Read More...
