Liang for Model Number GSS22SGRBSS

Hi, My water dispenser tube that runs through the freezer door is leaking and I want to replace one. I checked the diameter for this tube should be 5/16 and this tube WR17X2891 looks identical to the tube I wanted to replace. But this tube WR17X2891 does not seems to be compatible with the model number I presented. Please adivse: 1. the length of this tube 2. whether I could go ahead to buy this tube as replacement for my water dispenser tube that runs through the freezer door. Thanks Liang

Hello Liang, The water tube that runs through the freezer door is foamed in place and cannot be pulled out to replace. You would have to replace the freezer door WR78X11098 on the unit if the water line is broken inside door..

Chuck, It usually takes a couple of hours for the ice maker to cycle, and clear the remaining air and water from the system. You may want to start the icemaker yourself. You can remove the cover and slowly and carefully turn the main gear in the clockwise direction, until it starts to advance on it's own. or you can press down on the ejector / rake arm until it starts to advance. You'll want to let it make a few more cycles, then throw the cubes out. Which red light are you describing ? on the dispenser ?

Thank you.

Anatoly, The tube from the fill valve, goes to the water tank WR17X4358 inside the fridge, behind the crisper drawers and lower shelves, from the tank to the water filter head assembly WR17X10452 and from the filter head to the dispenser. To remove the remainig tube from the fill valve, you'll need to press in on the "collar"(the plastic ring that surrounds the tube) and pull out on the tube at the same time.

Hi Jose. The hose you question is 5/16 in diameter. You will want to order John Guess fitting part WP2300868. You will want to make sure both ends of the tube are cut flat for proper installation. Hope this helps!
